I'm curious about the lack of F.E.A.R. as well. Unless they are planing a later sale for the whole F.E.A.R. Collection, it just seems like a mistake to leave out the wrong most people want to play.

On a more on-topic discussion, why would they give FEAR 2 and 3 but not the first?

Might be a wild guess but I can see more people thinking "Oh man, now I need to have the Trilogy" and grab it since it's also the cheaper and it goes on sale often in the upcoming Steam Sales.

WB doesn't own the rights to the first FEAR

I would feel more comfortable if Modbot was was actually made a Mod, who is accountable for his moderation of the forums. It's all fun and games now but one day he might just go nuts on us and permban the whole lot of us. Modbot is the trojan horse of the Gaf forums, he's cool one minute giving out keys and the next he's closing threads and shit.

Beware gaffers of Modbot as Judgement Day is coming.

Did Modbot shutdown NeoGaf just now???

We will never know, but maybe... maybe you are up to something...

DUST is so good. i'm going to pretend that that mediocre odin sphere never came out, that it was cancelled and turned into DUST over a 10 year development period instead.

Odin Sphere is really really good. I would love to see it port to PC so we could play it without the problems that it had on PS2....

But Dust is also a great game. I don't like the art direction very much but gameplay wise it's awesome.

odin sphere really let me down in the...sphere aspect of the game. like every level while slightly different looking felt exactly the same. and the item combining, i think it is much better done in DUST. writing down combos for health potions and such and only finding them when you fumbled onto a working formula was just sort of irritating compared to the blueprints in dust for items imo. it had technical issues as well when tons of shit was going on the screen. it's amazing atlus made that game which (in my eyes is flawed) while one gaffer made the majority of this release. incredible quality DUST is!

Does Valve really only have 330 employees? That's small as hell. I thought it was around 400-500. With obviously not everyone working on Steam stuff I'm not sure how they're going to maintain, support Steam Universe. 30 people? Come on. They're already having problems with Steam as is.

Valve's economist stated in blog post last August that Valve was "pushing 400 souls". 330 sounds low, even accounting for the AR hardware team layoffs.

Paging JaseC

(Ubi, add Rayman 3 as well).

Why does everybody think I missed out on Rayman 2? ;) I wasn't collecting games back when Origins went up for pre-purchase, but I still bought it because it looked good and, hey, free game!

Oh, they can enjoy it. The logo, that is. By looking at our profiles.

Oh man, Odin Sphere was so disappointing. I could've forgiven all the ridiculous slowdown if the game itself was fun. I can understand animation priority in a game like Dark Souls, but in a side-scrolling platformer that's attempting to be fast paced and fluid? B-a-n-a-n-a-s.

Thank you for Arkham Asylum. Now I don't have to keep borrowing my friend's copy every six months when I feel like playing it again.

It's true that Odin Sphere was pretty straight forward in its level design and item upgrade. But you have too take into account that it was release in the dusk of the PS2 era and they did a pretty good job with the art direction and certain gameplay mechanics. I also think that Muramasa took care of a lot of the complains that Odin had with its level design.

Maybe it's me but I really like vanillaware games... Dragon Crown not so much, but the rest are more than okay in my book. That's why I would love PC ports of their games, to solve certain performance issues that those games have...

By dawn you mean 6 or 7 years into it?

GrimGrimoire was a really fun game. I'd play that.

So are the Batman GFWL codes ever going to work on Steam, or what?

Arkham City keys now work, while the Asylum key issues should supposedly be fixed some time this week.

Edit: Oh, neat, Age 2 HD works within Remote Desktop.

I must admit, watching the intro of F.E.A.R. 2 while listening to Genesis was pretty awesome. And I usually dislike listening to music when playing a game, but I didn't feel like pausing We Can't Dance (which I think it's their second best album, with A Trick of the Tail being their first).

thread hijack: HIGH FIVE for considering A Trick of the Tail as your favorite Genesis album - it's mine too. It's pretty much perfect.

On the other hand - NOPE @ WCD. I love some of the songs in there, but there are others that are forgettable or, even worse, terrible. Anyway, Fading Lights is a tremendous song and a fitting swan song for the Phil-era.

Carry on, gentlemen.

Started playing Path of Exile, it's kind of cool so far  I'm usually not into the clicking rpgs.

Feels like I discover something new to play everyday on PC!

Yes, inside and outside. But maybe there was an inmate hidding under a rock or something, can‘t tell anymore.

Well, at least I finished the game for the third time. One of my favorites from this gen.

Maybe there was a guy on the floor but not KO'd. It sucks that you have to play the whole thing again just for that.

In any case you could do it on hard if you haven't finished the game on that difficulty and ever feel like replaying it for a 4th time xD

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Digging around in the system menu of big picture mode in the new beta update reveals this:

"SteamOS version" and a "Check for SteamOS Updates" button.

Playing Fez for the first time. I don't know what's going on, all those teleporters are confusing the hell out of me, but it is pretty enjoyable and the soundtrack is amazing so far.

Sometimes it gets confusing. I recommend you to grab a piece of paper and start writing down certain things, it will be like playing games in the old days....

What program do you guys use for pads? My ds3 tool works perfectly but it doesn't work for king of fighters XIII, I wanna try some other programs before I give up on it.

SMB is already on Mac. Is it the fix for gamepads? Last time I tried a pad on Mac, I don't think they even worked on the game.

Apparently there were some issues with the Mac port that he finally got around to, Linux is new though.

You are supposed to use an Xinput wrapper I believe, there is a guide on GAF. I don't have a DS3 controller so not 100% knowledgeable.

Or just fuck it, and trade the controller for a copy of FEAR 2.
