Felt it deserved it's own thread. 17 new shots altogether.

Lack of 1080p crispness is definitely visible, but the graphics are awesome either way. Feel it's more impressive in motion though.

Looks great, to bad the gameplay looks so boring. I am happy that xboned can produce graphics like this, imagine what we will get on PS4. man this gen is going to be awesome.

I dunno, but those screenshot don't look hot, maybe because of jpg artifacts. However the 50mb bitrate video is fucking gorgeous.

Looks pretty incredible on my phone. Gotta hand it to Crytek, they sure make nice looking games. That depth of field effect has to be industry leading because it's so damn gorgeous.

Looks pretty good. The aliasing (possibly exacerbated by JPG) and clipping look not so good though. Still, love the effects.

Is that tons of AA in that 2nd to last screenshot or the design of the buildings? Cant tell when its still...

Also, looks good, not mind blowing like some suggest (my standards are slightly high since im used to playing games at max settings on PC). I just think people who are used to "current gen" aren't used to seeing this amount of motion blur and DoF, so it tickles their fancy quite a bit.

I play games on the PC at max settings and this is still impressive and only matched by a few games, mostly released this past year. The textures, character models, lighting, etc is all just very impressive. Metro 2033 is the only game that comes to mind that is older than a year and has comparable depth of field effects. Of course the general IQ isn't as good as you'd get on a nice rig but what can one do.

Edit: Link with three 50 Mbps videos that look exceptional.

Yeah this game looks really good and clean in motion. I was impressed with the video downloads, eventhough they were compressed.

Are these. Screens 900p upressed to 1080P? Otherwise it will look just that tad less in real gameplay.

Why are the direct feed shots 1920x1080?
Because HDMI on consoles only captures 480p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p, and the upcoming 4k res on PS4 and X1.

If had used VGA like the 360 then other res like 1600x900 would had been an option. I think a HDMI to VGA converter may make it possible though.

IIRC Crytek said they upsacle to 1080p by using special kind of upscaling technique that do AA too, KKRT00 we need you here to explain what they're using.

Anyway Xbox One output is 1080p regardless of rendering resolution.

Might cause issues with the UI, which appears to be at 1080p, due to Microsoft's three-buffer approach.

I think it looks fine, not as good as Spencer is claiming it looks, but I need to see it running on a TV in motion before I can judge.

That aliasing is rough, but I'm sure it looks much better in motion. Too bad the gameplay is so uninspired.

Are these from.. Crytek? What's up with next gen screenshots being so mundane? Why would someone think some of these are good to release as screenshots?

Also, there's some pretty heavy compression going on in these screenshots, just look around the texts' edges.

I will get Ryse used/discounted somewhere, I like the graphics but the combat system just sounds bad.

There' something really off about this pic, it's like the enemies and Marius are just cutouts that were put on the background.

I think it's because they are more brightly lit than the surrounding suggests they should be. As if the camera viewing them itself is a light source. I still like the art direction of the scene myself. Quite atmospheric.

Uhhh what? Are you serious? Can barely make any real jaggies out in that shot and you think that is "particularly jaggy"

Did... did you click on it to see it full size? Because the jaggies are pretty apparent. I don't mind jaggies in games but I don't think it's as jagfree as that.

EDIT: an AWFUL lot of this is the terrible compression, though. My bad.

Don't worry, I'll vouch for them.

It doesn't help the dude is glowing red (aka B button) to block.

Thats how they do the QTE's now. Instead of the button above the head they made an outline of the character for the corresponding color of the button.

I'm not seeing the lack of 1080p crispness. This is one of those things that I think people try to see only because we know it isn't 1080p, not necessarily because it's obvious that it isn't.

It's more a lighting and camera position situation than it is a lack of crispness, imo.
I think what's being noticed is the filmic appearance that Crytek said they were going for from the start. From the videos I think they clearly nailed it.

Development kits arent limited to HDMI capturing.

Hmmm, something off about these. Older shots definitely looked better. Just chose the wrong sections to show off?

Things in the middle of blurring usually look like that in stills.

Good example here, Ellie and Tess looks really odd here but in motion it looks great.

Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.
One day there will be a CryEngine 3 game that doesn't use film grain.

Don't see why it would be bad photoshop work, since it's exactly how the game looks. In fact, the game in motion actually looks better than all the provided screens, so I can't see why they would necessarily need to do any extra touchup work.

That's probably it right there. Do all Crytek games really use this? Did the first Crysis use it?

Sorry for the OT but man, that part in TLOU was where the framerate was at its worst. Pan the camera around and boom, 15fps. FU ND.
