PoI GAF I am disappoint. I came in here expecting to find this gif. But since I did not, here it is.

untitled-2acsul.gif

That part where Reese walks up to Turney and hits him with the chair should be just be GIFed. It'd get so much use on GAF.

Loved this moment.

Removing that episode from memory as quickly as I can.

Wasn't that bad, plot wise. POI was crappy

It's Cole Phelps, what'd you expect?

I swear to god, if this show
kills Fusco
, I'm gonna be mad. I quite like
Shaw, but don't like that her inclusion in this show has been to the detriment of Fusco and others getting screen time. For instance, I think I still want to see more about Nathan!

Yeah the upcoming episodes do seem presented at an interesting time.
Remember they have Root, could is possibly be during this mess with HR the machine has decided to protect Root? Which is why she is in the position she should be in? It also raises the question that if the machine was angry, why would it spit out the numbers of all the justice league team

just wanna say thanks for this thread, never would've found out about this show otherwise
i'm still only at episode 3 of the 1st season, already loving it
reese is such a badass

So one of the members of the machine team (we really need to decide what to call Finch and Co.) is really going to die? Hope it's not any of the original four. So I guess that leaves Shaw?

woah that was an fun episode
love that Fusco save Carter ass
and yay that stool to the face to that one guy was great and love his redemption moment when he shot that annoying face rookie.

I had started to like the rookie. I thought he would stick around and end up working for Elias somewhere down the line.

The actor playing him was doing a great job as well.

Yeah, I'll be pissed too
if they kill of Fusco. He's one of the reasons the show is great.

I don't usually watch the previews, but I saw it during football today. Now I can join everyone here in saying what the fuck?!

Don't forget it is a 3-episode arc. So don't expect it to happen or be resolved in this week's episode.

I hope I didn't make that more difficult for you guys.

Better keep watching, it just gets better.

Episode 3 is the worst episode of the entire series imo.

My bets would be
Carter as she has taken on a huge role and been getting risky also we saw Fusko all beat up and crying which may mean he barely makes it and Carter dies. That'd be the most likely to me although they'd be killing off their only black character (and my favorite character). Fusko seems the obvious choice as his role has been diminished to nothing and its hard for him to fit. However usual show writing 101 is that if a character is about to leave the show they get an unusual amount of ST/attention around them before they pass. I don't see a show having the balls to kill a character like Harold or Reese. However in a strange way if they were feeling ballsy they could do Harold but I feel that runs risk of destroying the show as a huge appeal of the show has been Reese/Finch dynamic. I dont see Shaw dying as shes just been starting to develop itd seem a waste

That is pretty much how my line of thinking is however I think a lot of people will be thinking the same. People watch a lot of TV these days and teasing
fusco
getting killed and pulling the whole switcharoo has become the norm and very formulaic. I think
fusco getting killed even though they teased it is the likely scenario, no fake out here. He hasn't been used at all this season.

Alright guys! Here comes the 3-episode arc that ends as the mid-season finale!

Endgame

The Machine gives the team 38 Numbers, and they realize that someone is pitting HR against their Russian Mob allies with the intention to set off a war. Meanwhile, Carter's past with her ex-husband is revealed.

It's time to fucking panic.

Already have my thoughts on this :lol

Gotta be Elias' push back into the limelight. No one else would have as much to gain from both of these organizations killing each other.

Well hmm.....
That many numbers and that much action might mean Finch is forced to use Root in this scheme too. I still don't think Fusco will bite it, I figure Carter would go first, if only because they run the risk of going too lady-heavy on the cast.

Now seeing what the next 5 episode titles are:

Alot of vagueness in those, with tonight's episode being

Endgame - As already mentioned. Written by 2 men that seem to be mostly involved on Zoe episodes, including her first one, The Fix.
The Crossing - Written by Denise Thé, who has done a hodgepodge of episodes, decent ones, but nothing on the "big" scale. Did write the one about the Billionaire that took an interest in Finch, and the 1st episodes of season 2 and 3.
The Devil's Share - Co Written by J. Nolan and Amanda Segel, who wrote Witness and Flesh and Blood in S1 - Elias episodes, then in S2, wrote the valentine's day ep (Til Death) and 2 of the most important Machine episodes, Relevance and Zero Day. She also did Lady Killer, the Charlie's Angel episode. About the title:

"The episode title "The Devil's Share" refers to that part of human behavior that allows us to be cruel to one another, or refers to one person's inhumanity to another. It also refers to an individual's actions that are not good for him/herself or for others. Contemporary French author Denis de Rougemont argues that this is the modern-day manifestation of demonic forces in the world."

that ends the 3 episode arc, then:

Lethe - Written by Erik Mountain, who has done mostly Reese heavy episodes, and Root's first episode (before seeing her for real). Lethe is greek for "River of Forgetfullness, something about helping people forget past lives.
Aletheia - written by Lucas O'Connor, who has only done one episode, the Old People Money laundering via gambling episode. Aletheia is "Greek personification of truth. It describes the state of being evident, or unconcealed." Sounds like something becomes "unconcealed" or "becomes known."

Just wrote episode title, who it was written by (and what type of episodes they've done in the past), and guesses at the meaning of the title, which are vague as usual.

The wiki page also has a poll on it, about "which is your favorite current arc"
The Machine's plan for Root
Peter Collier and Vigilance
Shaw
Carter's battle against HR
Not sure that "Shaw" is an arc, besides just finding out more about her past, but the main 2 are the machine and hr arcs, though Vigilance has come along fast, with a great villain character in Collier.

Oh, and Bear's actual name, is just as great. "Graubaer's Boker"

Hype hype hype. Guys. HYPE. This 3 eps arc ending into the mid season finale STUFF LIKE THIS DOESN'T JUST HAPPEN FOR FUN IT'S GOING TO BE INSANE.

ok I'm calm

(hype)

Kevin chapman/Fusco tweeted one word that fits with the writers of tonight's episode

it was "Zoe"

Saw this, forgot about this contest:
Also of note is that tonight's episode will be the first to feature images of Person of Interest fans within the story, as submitted to the POI Facebook App. Highlighting what an international hit Person of Interest is, 3 of the five photos are from Norway, Italy and Turkey and the domestic fans are from New York and Ohio. Photos will continue to be in various episodes throughout the rest of Season 3.

Yeah, think she's the one that hit that truck. I could tell that was a woman in last weeks promo. My guess: incite a war between HR and the Russians, so she can sneak up during the fireworks, and kill Quinn.
