"Like a one man human centipede"

this has to be one of the bitchiest complaints I've ever seen. Controller issues are more acceptable to complain about, but this isn't. Come on GAF
Agreed, people are grasping at straws... even after this "issue" has been clearly explained as a non-issue, that same gif keeps popping up in thread after thread.

What setting would that be? Console games dont have resolution settings. Its been confirmed in multiple videos from multiple sources that CoD SP is 720p

I sincerely hope IW is blatantly being full of shit here.

Download and put the update on USB.

1.)When powering on, press and hold the power button to enter safe mode. (Hold for 7 seconds)

2.) Tried a regular reboot same thing happened (Option 1) Failed
3.) Tried to rebuild system database (Option 4) Worked.

System booted regularly.

Tried to reboot the system, and it went back into a non-functioning mode.

Still on the phone with support to get the issue resolved.

How often do you plan to poke the very edge of your console sitting on a shelf? The powerbutton is located where the foot is, and I assume you'll start it with your controller anyway. It's stable unless you continually poke at it.

Because he payed good money to do so. If have done this countless times with the ps3 it is almost as fun as playing a game. So why can't I with the 4?that's it I'm getting a wii u

Or he (me) didn't realise it only had three feet and was only "wobbling" be ause it was being pressed (ie not wobbling at all). Gif was misleading >.>

Is there a commonality between all of these failures besides them being from Taco Bell? Are the users not connecting them via Ethernet to the Internet before turning them on? Do they all not have firmware 1.5 installed?

when you rebooted after rebuilding database was it at 1.5? sounds sorta like a bad hard drive

I guess people have not seen the videos of how both FedEx and UPS treat packages. There are going to be some defective units just based on how things are treated during delivery. Not saying that is the case here, but I would think there are going to be defects just because of shitty delivery men tossing stuff around.

Why are people prodding consoles now, I've been gaming since the 70s and never felt the urge.

It's like a wobbly tooth. As soon as it starts to wobble, you play with it incessantly.

First time I heard about the 3 feet design. Even though I understand it, I'm not sure I like it.

Why is wobbling even being talked about, just stick a cloth/paper underneath. WLOD is more worrying since it could signal a high console failure rate, but its early days yet.

Because it seems like the wobbling effects all of the consoles and is a "design choice" so they'll likely keep making them that way and it makes the console look shoddy. A piece of hardware shouldn't be more stable standing upside down than it is right side up.

The WLOD (lol really?) only has one instance we know about and there's no reason to think it's a widespread thing. Even if it was Sony would fix it and that'd be the end of it. No biggy.

Wow

It all sounds firmware/software related. Amazing that the safe/recovery mode seems less functional than it was on PS3 at this point

I sincerely hope you can get it running man!

You know what I mean. Laying flat and even with no wobble. Other than that, I think the system looks incredibly slick.

It is both flat and even. Why does it matter that it moves when pushed? Solution: Don't push it. The same could be said of my 3DS screen -- it wobbles when I push it.

I hope it gets fixed soon.

But Hey. This is the first of several years of "the FW update broke my system" threads.

Congrats on that at least.

This guy who also got a Taco bell PS4 said his PS4 does not wobble. Faulty batch?

But why didn't you connect to the internet and download the update first? When it tells you on the welcome screen.

Some of the responses in this thread are, by turns, paranoid, assholish, and deranged .

The OP got an early PS4 and it has had some sort of problem. As a GAFfer , he naturally shared that with us.

It doesn't make this a widespread problem, it doesn't make him a liar or a shill. It just means his PS4 had a problem. Get a fucking grip, people. You'll have a stroke by Friday at this rate.
Pretty much.

Hope he gets it sorted.

Maybe consumers expect that when purchasing a $400 plus tax electronics device, that device won't wobble to the point you need to stick cloth underneath to prop it up?

The opening scene for Ace Ventura comes to mind.
