Warframe |OT| Ninjas Play Free - PS4

I only skipped about but everything i saw was basic shooting, which wouldn't be cause for crazy particle effects anyway. I'd need to see some of the crazy special moves and abilities before i cry "downgrade" personally, but maybe that's just me?

Also, I played a bit of Warframe yesterday on the PS4 and streamed a bit of it. There was a glitch in the tutorial not allowing me to use my blade, so I had to skip the tutorial, which made me feel a bit lost while playing the first mission. Although that could have been something to do with my playing PS4 for like 19 hours straight.

Video of said stream and glitch.

I've found that enabling PhysX support in the PC version can make the game so much harder to play, since everything is erupting in particles at all times. While the particles are pretty, I wouldn't be too upset if they were missing from the PS4 build.

The particles aren't a deal breaker for me but damn did they look good. Maybe they can optimize it at some point and patch them back in.

So how do you guys like the game on PS4? I'm really excited to play this, especially considering all the talk on Shadow Fall.

You played the ps4 for 19 hours straight? Jeez.. How did it handle, any problems?

I played this on PC. Still playing it. Highly recommend for those who are on the fence about it. I hope the ps4 version is as good as PC. Will download tomorrow when I wake up.

This might be the one of the best PC free to play game I ever tried. :)

Hopefully when my PS4 arrives tomorrow it will be functional. lol. I have the update on a flash drive, so setting it up should be quick. Hopefully I have no issues downloading this. Definitely gonna check my HDMI port to make sure it's okay before I connect it.

Lucent85 is my PSN.

No trophy support, but I'll live. The game is damn fun, so I'll be playing this one a lot:

Where did my Pre-Order Bonus go from my cart?

I "pre-ordered" it when it was announced and still working, but now checking my cart on the web store, I don't see anything there.

Was it removed?

I just checked the PS4 controller page.

Oh dear god, they're still using that ridiculous controller setup? It was forgivable on the PC version because the controller support was rudimentary and initially they didn't have a lot of the functions necessary to do it right (some of which have been patched in, such as the Auto-attack fix).

But for the PS4 version, which uses the controller by default? Have they never played a thirds person action or shooter before?

Sounds like Warframe alright. That game is INCREDIBLY glitchy. It's labeled beta, so a lot of people forgive it, but I don't much has changed with its official release.

Lima;00000] What is wrong with it? Haven't played the game yet.

I actually wrote about this a long time ago.

I used to play warframe because I had friends that were always on it. I got into the Beta spirit and decided to give some feed back in the feedback forum.
It's worth noting that a few days after this, one the fixes I had suggested actually been implemented in the game, the melee camera/aim fix. Obviously it was already being worked on before hand, so someone else had the same idea as me and I'm not a complete loon.

But, so recap: Basically, the current control scheme goes heavily against the desired gameplay and is awkward. Warframe's ideal is to be running around, sliding, jumping, and killing things in style while moving "like a ninja." Hence the game's tagline. The default controller scheme works against this be placing half the functions on buttons that interfere with movement, which is just mind numbing.

It's even worse now with melee attacks still being on R1. That's completely unnecessary now. The PS4 version should still have that "aim with the left stick" option now, meaning you do not need the R-stick to aim melee attacks anymore. Thus, like every other 3rd person action game with proper melee attacks, like Devil May Cry, Knack, or I think even Vanquish, you stick the melee button the the face, the not shoulder. The shoulder buttons are prime real-estate that should be reserved for functions that need to be used in conjunction with moving and aiming, like "aim," "run," "shoot," and "slide." Not a melee attack that does not need it!

I have been playing a bit. Coming off from PC is a bit weird playing on PS4 with the DS4. Noticed the control right away: very low sensitivity + aim assist. Thank god you can change it in the option so I turn the aim assist off and turn sensitivity higher.

Trying to to get used to the control right now, but the game is fun like the pc version.

Analog controls are awful. The deadzone is way too huge. Coming off of Killzone (which is perfect), I feel this is unplayable.

I played the PC version with the gamepad exclusively and the controls always seemed half baked and a little janky.

But I figured releasing on the PS4 would have forced DE to dramatically improve things. Not so?

Is anyone having issues updating the game? Just locked up my ps4 for the 2nd time.

I've had the same issue. It gets to around 2-3 percent and locks up every time. The game seemed to download and install fine, just the update that seems borked.

Yeah I tried to update and it froze at 13%, I ended up unplugging my ps4..... I'll give it another go when I get the all clear from you lot

Ah I got mine updated on the 3rd try. Now the party/invite system seems to be broken... Maybe due to psn lag.

Sucks that this still hasn't been ironed out. The controls are one of the main things that put me off to it on PC. I assumed since it was beta that they just weren't fully implemented but there's no excuse once the console version is out.

So, I tried to start the game and it appears to have hardlocked my PS4. Wat do?

Seems like there was nothing I could do but unplug it. Blargh. I did that, and now it's booting into safe mode.

I 'preordered' the game on the PSN store website weeks maybe months ago and should have gotten a bunch of extra/free stuff. Anyone know how to make sure I actually got it? I never saw it download anything, other than when I went into the PS4 store and downloaded the game myself.

I did the same thing, and noticed that it no longer seems to be anywhere. Maybe it was taken off the store?

Hopefully someone can get some clarification on what happened, but I do know that Sony had problems with it for the past week, so maybe something happened and they had to get rid of it.

If anyone figures out wtf is up with the system lockups let me know because I want to fix this game and play it but I'm not going to try and start it again if it risks locking up my system. Maybe I should just delete it and reinstall?

Excalibur. Mag is shit don't ever pick Mag for starting frame. Loki is incredibly fun to play but is for more advanced players when you have some leveled up weapons to go with him.
Uh...

No. Mag is broken. Pull leveled up can carry you through the game.

Surprisingly I just got an email from Sony saying it should be in my download list now.

Played the first 2 missions earlier with some randoms, seems pretty fun, easy to get lost though if you're not paying attention and the group doesn't really talk.

Melee seems a bit weird though, it seems like there should be a bit of lock on because its pretty easy to miss enemies. otherwise it seems like I could spend some time playing this game, but like others have said, it looks a bit grindy if you're looking for upgrades

Melee takes practice for sure. It's kind of clunky but it's possible to get good at it.
