From the Ryse OT. Just look at this transition:

Just found out when my
amazing white "I Made This"
console arrives.

So pumped. MAXIMUM PSi.

you taunt me like a cruel, cruel mistress. What rubs salt in my wounds even more is that I had a very good friend on the xbox team, who ended up quitting a month ago. I said..wait until release and I'll pay you handsomely for that xbox, as he wasn't too enthused with limited editions. But no, he quits and I'm stuck alone with two Day One editions coming my way.

Other than an achievement, what?

since I had to go the extra mile and order day 1 games from a different place than the console itself, here they are:

in dead rising 3, you get to play also as both the characters of dr1 and dr2 (costumes included)
DayoneDR3.jpg

in ryse you get some special sword and an extra multiplayer map

in forza you get 3 cars pretuned and prepainted by t10

even in bf4, you get the china rising expansion plus some other things, and this is not even called "day1", just sold along the other day1 editions

Actually the built-in HD Calibration tool is awesome. Doesn't replace a Spyder or ISF calibration, but it's a great tool for the average customer to get their set in shape.

Very good to hear albert, what can we expect in it? Brightness calibration, contrast? Also are the patterns 0-255 full rgb? I thought xbox one games run full rgb since it's basically a pc. While 16-235 limited rgb is best with movies, or tv's that don't support full rgb? If you could answer that, thanks. And what would you reccomend? Full rgb or limited?

If you buy the games digitally within the first week of release you also get the day 1 bonuses.

Thanks Albert! I normally calibrate my own TV's but Yes, I heard this feature was actually better than your regular vanilla one so Kudos! to whoever worked on this :)

I tweeted Albert but never got a response. I'm curious with Xbox wanting to be the centerpiece of your living room, and running your tv thru your xbox, do you have to keep your tv in game mode all the time ? Will Xbox one, flip your tv into game mode when playing a game, but turn it off when you go back to tv ? Reason I ask, most living room tv's are lcd, 120 hz - 240 hz, with frame interpolizaration turned on. For example, I have a Samsung F7100 led tv, input lag in game mode is around 38ms, but without game mode on, its around 100+. Anyone have any ideas ?

Other than an achievement, what?

Dead Rising for example.

From the OT:
Day One edition content
“Dead Rising” Tribute Pack featuring exclusive game content and bonus attribute perks.

Classic Frank West outfit with Frank’s Zombie Slugger weapon, extra gory attacks and a custom skill move.
Also includes attribute perks for increased melee damage and tougher survivors.

Official Chuck Greene outfit with Paddle Saw combo weapon that cuts through zombie hordes with increased damage and durability.
Also includes attribute perks for vehicle and weapon durability.

No need to be a douche.

I think this is a really important question.

Its really insignificant but I'm digging how the seams of the controller are on the back of the grips rather than the sides.

Well from watching the entire stream, this is what I got.

RYZE is easily the most graphical game of any console at launch, the faces are animations are amazing, and the combat looks fun.

That being said, the slow motion kills will get super old after 2 hours, and did seem quite repetitive. IMO it will get a 7.8 or so.

Dead rising 3 seems to be the most "fun" game, but the story seemed awful, as did the characters. But the gameplay might be the best out of every console, Looks enjoyable.

"Slow motion kills" are completely optional and you have to pull RT to even start them.

TV will display in whatever input and setting the Xbox is on. So if game mode is on for XB1 it will stay on for TV.

But you are probably getting an limited edition white/silver Surface Phone next year.

They should. I know there is some weirdness with HDCP content over those types of devices, so you need to make sure your monitor and whatever convertor support HDCP.

Sweetness. Thanks for answering.

You're a good guy Albert. Stay classy and always remember that you've got friends here on GAF. Please enjoy this Optimus Prime gif.
