Kinda how I feel about any and all attempts at making a Shadow of the Colossus movie. The story is pretty bare bones despite it's heartbreaking ending but its presentation was fantastic. To the point that, I believe, it can only be truly enjoyed to it's fullest by the video game medium.

many can play Joel but the problem is with Ellie. good/decent child actress are super rare.

Just get Page. She's good when she wants to be (e.g. Hard Candy) and still looks almost half her actual age.

That's very true but more often than not, it backfires when their own thing is inferior to what was offered in the game or it just plain bad writing. I don't mean to write off every future video game movie but I just worry what a movie version of TLoU or SotC could do when their narrative works best in a video game.

If it was true they're probably just securing the rights of something that became popular. I highly doubt it'll come to fruition. Remember all the other movies based on Sony franchises ? How did they progress ? Namely Shadow of the Colossus, Heavy Rain and Uncharted ? None of them progressed that much beyond scripting.

Actually... They'd make a really good team for Henry and Sam. Will is amazing at pulling off the "stressed, depressed" personality, and he can also play off as funny and care free (like Henry wad up until...).

Jaden would be the perfect play as well, considering he acts just like Sam... (I hate Sam, by the way. )

I'm excited! I always believe the story and writing for The Last of Us was fantastic, and it would make the best Zombie movie in years! Only video game movie I want, hope Sony goes through with this.

Hugh jackman for joel imo. He's not massive and up his own arse enough to turn it down (evidence : he read the scripts for the wolverine movies and actually agree'd them) plus he already reminded me of joel in the movie "prisoners"
