The Order 1886 Aiming For Fall 2014 Launch

Sounds great. I'm wondering when we'll get release dates for Lily Bergamo, Rime, Shadow of the Beast, GG Xrd, and a few others anytime soon. I hope whatever Sony announces at VGX also makes it to the 2014 lineup.

That seems a little optimistic.

I would be surprised if The Order actually launched in 2014, and I definitely don't expect UC4 before fall 2015.

There's no way UC4 is a whole 2 years off, that Naughty Dog studio wrapped up UC3 in 2011. 3 years in between games seems much more likely considering the studios output

Why? The Order was announced at E3 this year and Uncharted has already been in development as long as Uncharted 3. They could see delays but I'd be shocked if we're over a year away from The Order and two away from Uncharted.

If they launched The Order and Uncharted in the same Quarter.... jesus.

I'm betting Q3 (september) for The Order and Q4 for Uncharted (november).

I know it is lil weird releasing similar exclusives so close since they both are 3rd person shooters unless ND does something crazy and TO is pretty much inspired by UC but that's Sony for you. Maybe they intended The Order for spring but they had to push it further or whatever.

Driveclub and that's it. Looks like it's all third parties from spring until fall.

Unless uncharted is a 2014 title.

No.

Rime
Hell Divers
Everybody Goes to the Rapture
Shadow of the Beast
Indie Titles (console exclusives)
Possible PS4 ports of PS3 games

Uncharted 4 is definitely a 2014 title, they've been working on it for 3 years

You're forgetting that Sony hasn't announced a decent chunk of the first party titles that they've promised for next year (they said 20 titles within the first year of the PS4's release).
I thought we all know now that most of those ps4 first party exclusives within the first year are smaller psn titles ?

I mean, its pretty obvious at this point.

Famous Mortimer did say there was one more big game for 2014 that hasn't been announced yet. I'm guessing whatever it is will be a VGX reveal slated for a Summer release.

UC most of the time comes out around november no way ND wants to miss holidays
SSM new game might come out around march just like God of war does

Driveclub-somewhere between Feb-April
March 2014 Infamous SS
The Order- maybe late Sept. or Oct.2014
UC - November 2014
New SSM game March 2015

MLB The Show 14 will be also drop in March.

I was hoping for something more like this:

Let indies flourish in January.
Release Driveclub in February.
Release The Show and inFAMOUS in March.
Release The Order between June-September.
Release Uncharted in November.

Holy fucking shit, PS4 truly is "The Best Place to Play."

All the conjecture and evidence points to ND releasing U4 in 2014. By then the second worked three years on the game. Further: Halo 5 is coming out in 2014, so Sony needs something big to compete.

This means Uncharted 4 is 2015 release. Sony would be stupid to release 2 cinematic third person shooter around the same time. Between inFamous and The Order, there isn't any first party games, I guess Indie games and 3rd patchouli do, we have Watchdogs, Destiny, The Witchter 3 and etc I guess.

Deep Down, Planetside 2, DriveClub. There's fucking loads of games. In fact I can't remember a better post-Xmas line-up for a new console.

I'm sure SCEJ have at least one title in 2014 for PS4, big or small.

4 AAA title in a year is the best Sony first party can provide, I don't recall any better.
We've got GOD:A, TLOU, Beyond and GT6, plus smaller title, that's one of the best year Sony could have.

Ah sorry I misspoke. After driveclub, there are no more AAA games until The Order in the fall. Rime looks great though. But I don't see it taking up a whole lot of my time. I'll be playing Witcher 3 (if it releases in 2014) and Destiny.

And We'll see about Uncharted, they never gave a release date. If it was next year, they probably would have said it by now. It could just as well be early 2015.

So what's between InFamous and this? From Sony's 1st parties that is.
Maybe Bend's game? Their last game (excluding Uncharted card game for Vita) was released in december 2011. Bend's logo was shown at the NA launch event, I'm pretty sure something will get announced soon, probably at VGX

I never expected this in the first half of 2014, but like many already suggested, a fall schedule means a potential slip into 2015. Anyway, they'll have a lot of time to polish the game now.

Why does everyone act like this is new info in the thread anyway. We have heard twice before that this title is aimed for around falltime.

I'm confus

If Sony planned on moving their schedule around they'll put UC4 in Fall/Winter 2014 and push "The Order" to Spring 2015, which would work in its favor since it is a new IP. I don't even understand how anyone would think UC4 would be moved past 2014.

The Order is my most anticipated next gen title so I'd actually love it if it came out in Summer/Fall of 2014 but I also want it to succeed, Ready At Dawn needs more recognition

March - Infamous: Second Son
April or May - Order 1886

What?

Don't think this is a good idea sales wise unless it is September. The heavy hitter shooters come out around this time and I don't think this game will sell well because of it. I hope this game has detective work and not just a plain ol coop shooter really interested in this because it looks like you have to investigate stuff.

They need something before november tho. They can't leave a new platform in it's prime without any first party titles for so long. I doubt TLOU/GT6 port would do it either. It's gonna be The Order.

I dunno why they put 2 similar titles so close to each other but you could also ask why make a first person shooter as your big launch game alongside CoD and BF4. You could read a lil between the lines from the info people have dropped that Infamous could have been rushed to be a launch title instead.

It's a shame they don't have it down as a Summer release. The PS4 is going to have a hell of a drought between Second Son and this. Hopefully there will be plenty of third-party releases to fill the space.

At least it's pegged for next year and not a 2015 release.

Sheesh, that video is insane. I haven't seen it before. Letting people make a mad dash to grab stock in a free for all doesn't seem like the best idea, ha ha. I saw some people getting trampled. They seemed alright though, they just got back up and joined the rush.

Can't wait for The Order. Really interested to see more about the game. The game has potential to be really good, I just hope it isn't just another shoot-waves-of-dudes type of game.

Sorry for the derp question, but has Deep Down even got a) a release date and b) confirmation it is coming to EU/NA at all?

Yeah Sony probably wont "win" 2014 in terms of big game releases. But they have so many teams working on stuff that one can only assume they will have a much better output in 2015.

Yep. Can't wait. Hopefully it's current gen/PC only.

Worried though. Bethesda made bank on Skyrim. I can see them wanting in on that last gen cash.

History would have me say that Bethesda released Oblivion on 360 and PC exclusively when the potential player base was still small.

Logic, however, has me saying that Morrowind never sold like fucking Skyrim. :/

It's likely the only Fallout game we'll have for years (I don't see them handing a sequel off to anyone else after New Vegas, unfortunately) and it will probably be designed cross gen for the sake of profit. The saddest part is if you made me choose one and only one unannounced game to actually be developed from the ground up for next gen, I'd choose whatever Bethesda is working on.

They didn't give a release date because they felt like they got burned by Uncharted 3's. ND has basically become a "when it's done" studio, which they've earned. I feel like they're probably aiming for November 2014, but I wouldn't be surprised if they moved it to early 2015 if they thought they needed more time.

Beta apparently around japanese launch (feb) IIRC and pretty sure it will come. I mean it was announced at the PS4 event and all. Also I doubt Sony would not localize it even if Capcom would decide to be silly.

I'm just going off of the fact that the teaser they released two weeks ago didn't show anything. Granted, it was only the PS4 launch and we may see something at the VGAs or in early 2014, but to me an announcement trailer without any real information about the game suggests that ND isn't too far along in the development process. I would love to be wrong, though.

RAD has a track record of making great games on older hardware, but they've jumped an entire generation. Going from high res PS2 ports to PS4 is a huge leap, technically speaking. If they had been making PS3 games I would be more inclined to accept that the game will be ready in time for fall 2014, but looking back at the delays from last gen leads me to believe a 2015 release is more likely.

Don't get me wrong, I have full confidence that The Order will be great, but I have much less confidence that it will be ready on time.

By my reckoning we know 15 of them today

Infamous SS
Uncharted PS4
The order
Everybody's gone to the rapture

Journey PS4 is likely to be another one.

edit: also Planetside 2 depending on whether Yoshida counts SOE as first party.

edit 2: + MLB 14 The Show

Do we know for sure that SSM has 3 teams making their own games? Maybe one just helps other studios

Uncharted is Sony's big game next holiday. If ND wanted to delay it... they could, because they have that clout within Sony... but as of now it's slated for Holiday '14 to go up against Halo.

The Order will probably be September... though they are going take the time to get it right - much like Evolution was given with Driveclub.

Well, RAD also hired new people. They went from a tiny studio to one with around 100 people in it. I doubt those people are inexperienced.

lol this software whining in this thread so far has me laughing pretty good. 2014 is absolutely loaded with pretty much a big " AAA " release each month, with high quality " indie " titles like Galak-Z, Dying Light, Transistors, Rime, Everybody's Gone to Rapture, etc. thrown in to keep you entertained and people still piss and moan about it. Amazing.

it truly is amazing how " indies " are thrown to the wind like they are trash or something in some of you peoples minds.

I will be playing Infamous / DriveClub ( due to the very heavy emphasis on online racing ) / Destiny for a VERY long time, so whatever comes out in between those titles and the holiday titles is just icing for me. Oh yeah and then need to pick up Final Fantasy XIV which will take up a ton of time too.

I dunno, if you are not satisfied with the mountain of software in 2014 ... what are you doing in this hobby?

Both UC2 and UC3 were revealed 1 year ahead of launch, UC3's teaser trailer was just as cryptic as the new one.

The bolded are not included and no SOE doesn't count either.

Gonna be ports galore mark my words.

edit: Actuallu what about Deep Down?

Ports galore? Ehh, not sure how I feel about that. I'd love to play GTA V again on the PS4, but otherwise I'm pretty much done with last gen on a current gen system.

Unfortunately, Deep Down looks kinda ass, or it did the last time I saw it. No interest in that one myself.
