-Diomedea's producing it with Kensuke Tanaka (one of the game's creators) as the series composer

-The protagonist is going to be Fubuki, much like in the official 4koma.
-The VA situation is still a massive clusterfuck.

TBH, centaurs just make no sense as a concept. You're replacing an animal's head with an entire 2/3 of a human. How does its internal anatomy even work? Does it have duplicate organs, one for each species? How could they function together? Imagine how much they would have to eat to support that entire monstrous body. At least things like mermaids have a kind of logic with half of one creature mixed with half of another. Centaurs are like a human whose head is the front half of a dog.

I almost feel like I should have no right to complain sticking with this for so long, but the direction the show's taken the last couple of episodes, while predictable has been pretty damn stupid. Just when I thought 5/6ths of last episode were actually some sort of return to form. (if there was even a form to return to) But nope it's dumb warmongering conspiracies and drama for you!

I've said this before, but I believe it now more strongly than ever: The only thing keeping this show from being a full-fledged successor to Code Geass is the lack of fanservice.

That's actually one of the most interesting things about the show to me, considering the lack of restraint in every other conceivable respect. I wonder if there are a relatively high number of women on the production committee or something.

We deserve a spin-off series where it's just the characters having hilarious school romcom fanservice-full antics and using their body swap powers to full hijinks potential.

I'd say 2/3-3/4ths of whatever is on Crunchyroll winds up on hulu eventually. Yeah they're behind on some stuff, like Samurai Flemanco, but other stuff like Copellion and Freezing etc are day and date with Crunchyroll.

I gave up on Crunchyroll for that reason. That and their PS3 player was shitty for a long time. Tons of freezing up and being unable to scroll through the menus.

The original Muv-luv Alternative Total Eclipse light novel series haven't concluded yet, so it pretty much had to stop there.

Although, if you liked this anime, I would highly recommend picking up the Muv-luv VN trilogy: Muv-luv Extra, Muv-luv Unlimited, and Muv-luv Alternative in that order. It's the main storyline that Total Eclipse was spun off from, and there are fan translations out there. While Extra and Unlimited are completely unlike the tone of what you've seen in Total Eclipse, it's meant to build up to Alternative which is amazing.

Well the reason i watched this anime so late was because i was familliar with the muv luv Vn universe . i admit i hadn't seen Alternative but i have to agree that this is one of those cases where the spin-off is better than the source material.

Kudos to the adaptation team. They managed to cram the end of volume 2 and various small forshadowing events for later in this episode. Damn i'm impressed. Log horizon is slowly reaching my TOP 3 best Ln to anime adaptation ever and this is no small feat.
