MGS: Ground Zeroes Xbox Exclusive Content Trailer

For those complaining about the new marking system and the Reflex Mode (slowing down when you get spotted), these can be turned off in Options.

The Snatcher reference is cool but the mission itself is just fluff - just like the PS3/PS4 exclusive mission.

I will buy the version that has the better framerate, textures and resolutions which will most likely be the PS4 version [it should be based on system specs but who knows].

has Kojima made one of those "both platforms are even" statements? if he did you might see parity for this game.

Uh oh Kojima.

Releasing cooler exclusive content for Xbox of all things. This will not go down well with manbabies (90% of your fans).

I don't see any scenario where the PS4 version looks better than the Xbox One version. This is a 1080p 60fps game with PS3 art assets. I doubt either console will be breaking a sweat.

It's quite embarrassing.

Would love to know what's so embarrassing about not being ok with this. MGS fanbase is on playstation, not on xbox.

Wait for PC and get everything crew.

Wait even longer crew.

PC version cancelled crew...

Where's Revengeance on PC again? Oh...people are still waiting.

Not sure which to believe the description or the trailer but I would go with the trailer.

This was a big missed opportunity to have the mission be MGS4-themed to capitalize on the classic joke of MGS4 on Xbox, much like how folks always wanted MGS1 in HD and hey, we got that. This does call back to the old Xbox E3 reveal of the original Metal Gear Solid: Rising before Platinum saved the game.

I do love how both this and the PS mission have great troll moves from KojiPro. "MGS1 in HD", blatant Snatcher shoutouts rather than a real sequel, love it.

Thanks Kojima.

Give us MGS1 Snake skin and a mission we already pretty much re-lived in MGS4 (which also had the skin) while xbone gets this?

Enjoy your no sale from me, Konami. Hate this console-exclusive shit. Hopefully MGSV doesn't have this, but I think GZ is a good indicator of what will happen.

Really, people? Salt?

Like the Xbox version won't get the MGS1 mission and the PS line won't get the Raiden mission down the line. Come on.

I really don't get what Konami is trying to pull here by launching exclusive content on each platform.

Other than conflicting and frustrating MGS fans in either fanbase.

The trailers I've seen are something far and above what the PS3 could do. Saying it is just a 1080p 60fps upgrade is selling it short.

Incidentally on the topic of possible platform parity, does it even require significant extra effort to make each version utilise its respective specs fully? They are both running on the same architecture after all.

Soooo much salt in here.

Bravo Kojima. the Xbox One versions is the one I shall be buying. RAIDEN is my waifu.

Yeah, I kinda want that Raiden extra. Will wait to see if it shows up on PS4 first though.

Glad there's a general date though now, and that Reflex Mode is optional, among other news.

So one console gets a skin and the other one gets a whole character with new gameplay involved?

PS4 content must be missing something that we don't know about, right? right? I mean, c'mon, the content is not even remotely similar content wise.

Chances are that this will be a time exclusive, like most of other publishers do.

OK. But the PS4 version is still coming, right? It's always somewhat baffling when fans get upset at the possibility of more people getting to play a franchise you like.

Dat salty biased one-sided ignorant opinion, is what it is.

The DLC makes me want to get it, as I was gonna pass on this altogether. lol

Wait until the resolution and texture quality is revealed between the PS4 & Xbone versions - if there is a disparity, whoa boy, look out!

That thread will be an absolute war!

The Xbox One Mission does look better than the PS4, but I'm still going to pick this up on PS4. At this point I have played all of the MGS games on Sony consoles so there's no reason to switch now. I doubt these missions will amount to anything significant anyway.

Because console exclusive content is just a horrible idea in general? Timed exclusive stuff is bad enough, if it is totally exclusive for the life of the game, then it is really bad. Was never a fan when Sould Calibur did it, and still not much of a fan now. This just goes on top of the feeling of being ripped off for GZ in the first place. I'm hoping there is a lot more than the base camp, but let's be honest, that's unlikely as all hell. So instead of giving more to do to all of the people who buy this overpriced prologue, they are splitting it up between the platforms. Since each console is getting it's own exclusive stuff, EVERYONE who buys a version of the game is missing out on something. It also stands to reason that if and when this content DOES come out in the future it will be something you have to pay for, so the $30 demo price goes up. Or Konami is hoping their hardcore fans will double dip.

Game looks great, but I can't be happy with the tactics Konami is using. It's just bad juju overall.
