The reason I assume the official translation stuck with Erza is because Erza is the most popular character and was so before the official translation project started.

Not a strong lineup by any means for sure, I'd give my vote for either El Viento Del Norte or The Team Before Daybreak.

This could get a whole lot better with an editor. Then again any decent concept and this kind of art could get good with an editor, so I don't know.

The art is pretty cool. Some fierce logical fallacies though, like MC basically throwing around gadgets and calling them bombs, or translating "disable by detonation" into "change the bomb into a firework and blow it up" (just disable it already :lol). But it's mindless fun, I like it.

I'm surprised that this is all they got out of the contest.. I doubt that among those other 1400, nothing was better than Sweat Man or Golden Rabbit. They should have chosen 12 or even 20 and do a multi-layer voting.

Jun totally counts, that was like the point of the arc - Keima complained that that teacher routes are too hard.
Is Nikaido going to treat Keima like he's an idiot still? I mean, she had good reason prior to when he got into the contract with Elsie because he pretty much was an obnoxious shitlord. I'm not really sure where this whole series is going, and hell, I don't even really remember why they went to the past in the first place, or why Dokoro/Nikaido is a human now.

There is potential in the competition oneshots. But it is anundantly clear why there are Jump editors. There isn't a transcendentl talent in the bunch though that has such a vision that would outdo an editor.

EDIT: I read Morning Star (good art, pretty cool, but it wasn't really interesting) and Golden Rabbit (pretty bad..like really pretty bad)
It was a about a guy who wakes up with a different Super Power roughly once a week.
The one shot would have been about him meeting a guy with a hyper-active imagination to help him make the most of each power in the short time they're around. I should have put together a script and posted it somewhere.
Retcon: I read Sweat Man and Golden Rabbit. Both managed to put me off within 10 pages.

Because apparently something happened to where Keima had to go back in time to re-correct the timeline or something. I don't think the author knows either.
And Nikaido apparently has a body both in Hell and in the human world, and the one in Hell was killed or something. I have no idea what is going on.
