Turn up your volume.
He said "and with even more great games coming soon".
Kid: "I wish I was playing PS4 right now."
Even more = two games.
Great = Zelda + Smash Bros. + Mario Kart.
Technically, Nintendo is telling the truth!
I hear Knack is the latest Blockbuster in preschools.
Useful but late...
I'm not sticking up for Nintendo but its kinda sad that this day in age with a majority of the population that are interested in buying video game systems or any kind of technology still can't use the internet to look up information before hand. The information is easily available yet people still choose to remain uninformed.
Little kid looks distracted.
It's not really useful at all, unless it's used as a commercial. How many people are actually going to Nintendo's Youtube channel and click on this video? Nintendo needs to put a shorter version of this video on TV.
"New technology"......why don't they say "New video game console"!? They have never said it's a new video game console in any US ad.
They also should've said "play with your friends online FOR FREE."
Actually, the WiiU's relative obscurity lends itself well to a product relaunch. They need to do that two years ago. It's gone now. Wii U will never be anywhere close to being remotely successful.

Wow that sounds fun! Is there even a thread for this?Personaaly, I prefer their other video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YycMI1Tn9rQ
Nintendo, being completely unsure of how to sell the WiiU, outsources marketting to the fans. 'Send us your best pitch for a WiiU' sounds less like a competition and more like a desperate plea for help.

Pretty obvious from the ad they are trying to grab that casual family market they think still exists for their product. Maybe they are right.
Still, this is easily three months too late. It is Decemeber 20th FFS. Christmas shopping is essentially over.
Ah, I remember that thread. Most most of the later pages were replying to the commercial itself. Not the contest.
hahaScott667 said:Not sure. Although I joked about it, I would actually consider entering to win a second WiiU. However, I doubt that Nintendo would appreciate my pitch of 'best tv based web browser ever' very much.
edit: forgot a word
"Just look for the U on the box!"
So it's come to this?
This is actually my experience with the WiiU to the T....high-fiving each other and laughing their asses off at racing past each other at Mario Kart. That's so unbelievably fake. It's not what gaming is. Everyone knows that. They're fooling nobody.

lol why is this being released now with christmas 5 days away?
This is actually my experience with the WiiU to the T.
Rayman Legends, Spin the Bottle, Mario 3D World, Cloudberry Kingdom, New Super Mario/Luigi U, Tekken, Nintendo Land, ZombiU's multiplayer, Pikmin's bingo battle and Sonic Transformed have all made sure of that.
Actually looking forward to Wii Party U as well.
I loled at this part:
"And with so many games coming soon, there's no better time to buy".
Actually there is. When all of those "many games" are released (they actually just showed MK8 and DKC, as that's pretty much all that's coming in the next 6 months).
Also, so many Wiimotes in that video, yet the Wii U console does not come with one.

Actually tomorrow should be the biggest shopping day of the year, but yeah this is too late. At least it is something and maybe signals their expanded audience marketing along with Wii Fit U.
Why is their delayed reaction so hilarious hahaha
I'm not sure they should bother with some of the stuff like having mom use YouTube to learn how to cut carrots. Is anyone really going to buy a video game console for that? Especially a mother?
You guys watch the video or just the GIF? It's supposed to be a forced awkward smile. Sis and Bro think Mom's over the top antics are dorky. Sis even rolls her eyes. It's like a parody of all of the cheesy Wii ads.Director: ".... aaaaaand SMILE."
Kid: "I wish I was playing PS4 right now."
Now put it on every channel you can afford and make it sure it spams youtube ads for the next week.

Way to go Nintendo! This is definitely a step in the right direction. I much prefer having a narrator who explains the features rather than having some kids with cheesy dialogue. Too bad it's too long to be a commercial. I'm sure they could slim it down though.
