The chibi models are already ugly anyway.

I can barely look at the demo long enough to play it, and even that's with the convulted system. I wish I took back the 30 minutes I tried of that demo and instead put it into further progress in Xenoblade.

They came for my Nintendo wallet and I said nothing. They came for my super-deformed anime girl's skin and I said nothing. And then they came for me.

Wowee, some costumes are slightly less ridiculous and we already have a 'fak u square no sael', when this news is months old.

Game is great, you should all buy it anyway.

Not for nothing, but I do know people who stated they were likely to pass on the game because of the "loli" sort of look.

I don't know that this changes things for them, but I get why they did it.

Too hard to understand simple mechanics for you?

I actually like those short shorts.

I have no idea what's going on with the bottom costume though for either region. Belts gone wild?

Yeah, this barely brings a "Meh" at most from me. The originals looked like a cat got at it before the ladies put them on.

I don't really have a problem with this.

Usually I'm against censorship, but it's not a big deal here and the original costumes were a bit off putting.

Another bit of censorship I just ran across: all of the characters have been aged up in the EU/US version. JPN/US age.

Agnes: 17/20
Tiz: 16/19
Edea: 15/18
Ringabel: 15/18

Additionally, the ages of certain characters have been raised from 15 to 18, while localisation efforts have apparently toned down sexual innuendos present in the original game.

Now I feel better leering at the girls now.

But are the talking "For the Sequel" that was released in Japan which was released in Europe and coming to North America next month? Or are they talking about the original release...

Don't care about changing revealing costumes on characters that are meant to be 15-16 years of age (creepy!), but faffing around with the original text? Not cool.

After reading a little on the story, I actually support the ages being bumped up. It seemed a little weird to me that kids so young would have free reign to do so much.

But I guess that's a pretty typical RPG trope so I might be the only one.

Probably why 3ds is region locked. So stuff like this won't even end up in blurred lines. But it's not even that serious. Also the age thing. Can't be promoting (screw this stupitid strike code) anything underage that isn't intended for little kids on your nintendo devices

At least it's not the blood censorship from Xenosaga III. Lordy lord, what a stupid change. I had no idea what was even happening in that cutscene.

When I was a teenager I saw nothing wrong with it. But now as an adult, when I look at other 16 year olds I just think... I hope these guys are not in charge of saving the world any time soon.

In a Western counterpart, the Game of Thrones TV show aged up a lot of the younger characters as well from the books.

Wow. Localization modifying the game in any shape or form is inexcusable. The age and costumes stuff are bad as well but that one stings me harder.

It's confusing, boring, and ugly. Like, it tells me there's jobs, but half of them don't even do anything. I can't find/there isn't a healer, an inn, or whatever. The default system I understand, but everything else is just a tremendous annoyance.
I thought at least the enemy designs would redeem the game, but if the art style on the first group of enemies is even a fraction of what to go by, there goes the barely slim chance of me purchasing it. I can't stand the goddamn chibis. At least give me regular art in the equipment screen or something, as I had no idea it would be this bad.

Frankly, the ones on the left look better.

The bottom-right one just screams random unnecessary belts.
Yeah, the one on the bottom-left is still made of belts, but at least it forms a solid whole, as opposed to just random lines.
