Good news for PS4: Team Ninja is developing a game for the platform. They're not big seller, and it's still Tecmo Koei, but at least it's something.

Bad news for PS4: Deep Down delayed till Summer, if not a little beyond Summer.

What's the PS4 lineup after FFXIV comes out?

I don't think there are any games dated after FFXIV.

Sheet, just googled the terraria jpn version, looking for the cover. That thing costs ¥4.179 (~$45) over there

Any ideas is the price same as digitally?
PSN EU has now february sale where Terraria costs 10,04€ (with ps+ you get 10% discount).

I think it was a bit over ¥3.000 digitally, iirc

a. In the Digital Contents business, in addition to the feature title "Monster Hunter 4 " (for Nintendo 3DS) being supported by overwhelming popularity, as mentioned above, and creating a huge buzz even comparable to a sort of social phenomenon, "Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen" (for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360) also steadily increased sales.
b. Furthermore, projected sales were basically achieved for not only "Dead Rising 3" (for Xbox One) that has been geared toward the European and North American markets, "Resident Evil Revelations" (for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC), but also "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies" (for Nintendo 3DS).
c. Furthermore, the downloadable versions, which respond to changes in forms of distribution, contributed to expansion of sales by growing significantly both overseas and domestically in line with the progress in diversification of business models, including the better-than-expected performance of "DuckTales: Remastered" for overseas markets in addition to the aforementioned "Monster Hunter 4" showing strong sales.
d. On the other hand, sales of "Lost Planet 3" (for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC) were below expectations due in part to intensifying competition in the European and North American markets.
e. Meanwhile, in addition to the online game "Monster Hunter Frontier G" (for PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U) performing steadily, the browser game "Onimusha Soul" is garnering a great deal of attention in Taiwan, including being at the top of the charts, with the start of its distribution there. In order to expand Capcom's business field, this marked the beginning of the Company's base in Taiwan, which was established in 2012, in gaining a foothold.
f. In addition, the Beeline brand's mainstay title "Smurfs' Village" also maintained its ongoing popularity, providing stable income.
g. However, mobile contents did not achieve expected level of sales throughout the period under review, due in part to lack of major titles and the fierce competition even though "Monster Hunter Hunting Quest" performed steadily.
h. The resulting net sales were 56,067 million yen (up 12.8% from the same term last year), and operating income was 6,919 million yen (down 5.5% from the same term last year).

Capcom's earnings

Quite encouraging. Underperforming mobile, overperforming consumer titles.
Even Ace Attorney did well - we already knew Japanese performance targets were achieved, but I take this report considers western performance as well.

Also Reverations. I start to think they do this on purpose.

How did NIS do?

Was going through it.

nis_14v5utl.png

Sales / Operating income / Ordinary Income / Net Income
FY2014
FY2013

Improvement from last year: Sales 99% up, profit instead of loss.

Majority of profits are from the online segment (which has a 65% margin), but packaged had nice income as well (margin of 11%, though).

Marvel was never big in Japan. They're smarter than that.

This. If anything, the only reason that players in Japan were playing Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 in the first place were for the Capcom characters themselves.

Other fighting games such as:

Super/Ultra Street Fighter IV,
BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma,
The King of Fighters XIII,
Tekken Tag Tournament 2,
Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R,
Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown,
Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold, &
the upcoming Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-

are far more popular in Japan than games like Marvel Vs. Capcom, Mortal Kombat, Injustice, or Killer Instinct.

Sure, but as far as popularity, Marvel is second only to Street Fighter worldwide. Several of those games listed have very very small scenes internationally.

well, back to the drawing board Nintendo, and please understand that there is a ticking clock on your relevancy.

2016 at the absolute latest and I dare say that is too late.

Winter 2015, console/handheld combo system that can share games, all running on hardware that is better than PS4/Xbone.

I'm pretty sure Mortal Kombat sold more than both SF4 and Marvel WW. Maybe with the ten versions of SF4 it passed MK, but I don't think Marvel ever did.

Unless of course you're just talking FGC popularity numberz (LOL) and not actual data.

That wasn't his point though. The Japanese dropped Marvel 3 quickly because they considered it a broken mess. And having no arcade release probably didn't help either.

We are, because none of those games listed, aside Tekken, even touch a million.

Also, looking at some figures and i'd like you to cite that as well, because it appears as though SF4+SSF4 were enough to pass MK9. Not "10 editions" but 2.

That wasn't his point though. The Japanese dropped Marvel 3 quickly because they considered it a broken mess. And having no arcade release probably didn't help either.

Orrr.... Marvel characters aren't popular and the sales fell in line with most other fighters instead of exploding like S/SF4 did. Plus it released about 6-8 months after the first Marvel 3, which hurt it worldwide.
