Nope. I don't watch much tv, so everything is on a monitor, and I prefer refresh rate over resolution.

I have the original TCL P series, but HDR seems to be broken. Everything is completely washed out. I just turn it off at the console level.

Just bought a new $400 TCL 4k HDR tv.

It's the S series.

I don't plan on buying 4k consoles until PS5 comes out.

I wasn't aware that the regular slim ps4 supports HDR. Enabled it in the settings.

Happy with it.

Been wanting to grab the 82” Samsung Q8, but welp the price!

Was hoping Black Friday would benefit but only for the lower tier models so far.

Still 1080p on my projector, 1440p@144hz for pc gaming.

I may be upgrading to a 4k projector this black Friday. Worried about input lag though.

4k tvs are too small. Was eyeing Samsung's 82" models, but still small compared to my 110" screen.

I don't even own a TV. I find it completely useless in this age*.

No. I bought a new TV about a year before 4k started picking up. My old TV still works and I can't justify having 3 right now.

Yep.
I spotted an EU Samsung TV on Amazon UK a few months back for a weirdly low price. I examined the listing and it basically said that the TV won't pick up any UK TV channels. (Fine by me, I'll just play games on it and use Netflix, YouTube, etc.)
I saved around £90-£100.

When the TV arrived it had 2x power plugs in the box, one EU & one UK, and the set-up process asked me if I was in Austria or Germany. I choose Austria and was relieved to see the text in the menus remained in English. (I think it was going to auto-tune some freeview channels or something.)

It's been working great and games look amazing.

my friends call me "Cunty"
55-inch LG C7 (OLED as you might imagine). To put it mildly: holy crap it's good for games: it's low-latency, it's vivid, and the HDR gets quite bright. I haven't experienced burn-in, although I'm also careful enough to avoid sitting idle at menus for long periods or otherwise tempting fate.

Nope.

Still using a 1080p TV, I don't have anything that would take advantage of a 4K tv either, so what would be the point?

I have base xbox one, base ps4 and a switch, the rest of my consoles are retro ones, so again pretty pointless me having a 4K tv!

Just got one, a 50" Hisense I snagged for $300. It's a nice upgrade for sure. I didn't do as much living room gaming in the past so I never had much need, but with me and the girlfriend moving into a new place soon, it seemed like a good time. I didn't much consider them worth the expense before, but they've gotten so cheap now I'm out of excuses.

Yes, upgraded my 720p HD to a Hisense UHD4K TV and most recently made the upgrade to a Sharp 4K HDR Smart Roku TV and I’m happy with it.

I recently made the upgrade to 4K/HDR

I was going to try the TCL R6 but let myself get talked into going overbudget and picked up the Sony X900F instead.

My x900 has a couple weird issues, like excessive blooming and inconsistent HDR performance. It was probably just a lemon.

I exchanged it for the Samsung Q6FN and o really like it. Great color, best input lag I’ve ever played on. It doesn’t have full array local dimming though and I notice that.

I can’t decide between giving the TCL a chance, since that was my first idea anyway, or upgrading to the Q8FN and just going excessively over budget from where I started but getting an amazing TV

Does fake (software) HDR count? Then yes, 4k/HDR. But I don't use HDR because it just alters the look but doesn't add anything quality-wise.

I own a 4K (HDR, but not "real" HDR) TV, but I don't use it for gaming. I use it for movies.

For games I play on a monitor. Lower input lag and better response times.

Sony X800D. I do not use the HDR mode, because I hate how it makes everything so dark. Otherwise I absolutely love the TV. Games, movies and YouTube look great on it.

Don't forget "people lie."

lol

So people don't lie? You don't think Xbox fans go into a poll and vote for something that boost the vote for the X and vice versa for the PS4? It's a Internet poll with zero transparency and zero repercussions for lying.

But continue being a clown lol

Just because you're a raging fanboy doesn't mean everyone thinks like you do. Most people don't have an incentive to lie on an anonymous poll.

"Repurcussions for lying." Yeah, why doesn't Neilson threaten people with a fine if they lie on their polls? lol, idiot.

The fact that so many don't have one on a gaming enthusiast forum says a lot about what's going on out there. We're at the point where the average person can't even tell the difference between TVs.

I'm surprised the ratio is so high, actually. I expected 50% at most. But two-thirds have a 4K set. That's a lot, especially if you compare it to normal folks, where I think it's about 25%.
