If you get picked to be The One, that's the only time that season you can be The One, right?

But what about The Mob? Can you only get chosen for that once per season or once per night?
 
Is there a list of awards somewhere? Sometimes I don't realize I got one at the end of a round so I don't see the name of it. I got a purple one but I don't know what it's for.

I was shouting out "I BET IT IS "PAIN DON'T HURT" before the answers even appeared.

90% accuracy, the gold one is "beat the one"

i'm guessing the one to the left to it is for instant answers

idk what the 2 trophies are for though

There's awards for top 10 and top 100. It's probably those.

It'll be hard, definitely. But it's not as if you couldn't eventually get picked from being #1 in the previous round.
 
Dammit! I was in the Top 100 for one of the rounds but I guess they didn't use the round score for the Mob the following game.

I've only got three achievements left, one of which is the dumb three-instant-incorrects in a row. (Also, 500 questions and six instants in a row.)

You can be in the mob as often as you can UNTIL you win a prize then that's it for the season. Also, if you're the mob and you don't get any questions wrong and the The One walks with the money you can still be in the mob later in the show until you either win or miss a question.
 
That was pretty good. I:
-got in the Mob
-won a few bucks worth of MS Points and Uno Rush
-got 8 achievements
-unlocked the pelvic thrust dance seen in Spiderman 3
 
It was pretty fun tonight, even with the gross avatar dancing, I got SO close to winning points with the mob but I always blow it by answering too quickly and hitting the wrong button before thinking.

I F'd myself over the worst when I quickly hit Craigslist on that one question, I knew it was Angie or whatever but I alway gotta be Mr. quickdraw. I hit the button then I actually read the question and I'm like "SHIIIIIT "

Hold the right trigger and scroll left/right to see how many you've got so far this season

Press start, choose "how to play," and then scroll right through the help screens and it explains there what all the badges mean

I think the US still has a host, doesn't it? It's the UK that dumped it.
 
oh yeah this reminds me.. in the last series i beat the 1 in the mob and got some points and won kingdom of keflings.. except they didnt send me the KoK code.. after I emailed em.. a month later they sent me a Zuma code.. idiots.

Once per live show. Although I'm sure I remember reading in some fine print that you're only actually excluded if you get knocked out or win a prize; if you stop because the One loses early or because they take the money, I think you can re-enter. Not actually managed to do so yet.

If you are ever the mob or the one, take your time. The time bonus isn't worth anything then since you have already been picked.

It's worth noting that if someone is the one, they can go on to be in the mob in the same live show. I saw that last night and almost every live show in the beta.

Because they appear to have forgotten to put season 2 through any testing, hence it breaking every 15 minutes.

They're improved the UK "It's 1 vs 95" or whatever voiceovers though, they don't sound like the speaking clock anymore.
 
Last nights Extended Plays were great. I managed to unlock all bar the 500 questions achievement, and even managed 89% accuracy in Tech & Gadgets. Just 1% off the 90% Award! :(

I really like how they are doing proper themed shows in this Season, though. In Season 1, Extended Play was basically a snooze-fest because it was all General Knowledge and the questions were just so shitty. This year, there are proper themes, Celebrities, TV, Tech & Gadgets, Videogames etc, so it actually feels like a competent quiz game.

Great with a party of 4 all shouting out answers, as well. Great fun. :D
 
Haha, I got the 90% reward. I BLITZED the Tech and Gadgets round, only getting one wrong, and got the Top 100 badge. Excellent.

Only achievements I need are the 500 questions and the team of 4 get a streak of 3.

I answered everything right in that round (barring a few safetys) but I started on question five so I missed out on top 100s and stuff!

The animation round before it was great too. "Animation" was less broad a title than the questions suggested, though, with questions about comics etc too.

I was in the top 100 for that'un. Some bizarre questions about when obscure Japanese men were born! Got really bored with WoW level cap questions too.

I still have to do the 6 instant awnser achievement, and i dont think ill ever get the 3 straight correct questions one. I always get morons in my group. :(

If you've got spare controllers you could just fill the other spaces with guests. You'll get it easy enough if you play all the live shows though.

Hah, me? I feel misrepresented by my avatar, I wasn't really that sad to lose, I've got The Maw already so it'd have sucked as a prize.

Do I get to be in the mob again having got a question wrong? The rules kinda imply that that's it for the season now but other reports suggest it's just per show/week, like last season.

I still have the 6 consectuive correct instant answers to do, along with the Live show. Otherwise I got all of them over two days of extended plays. So awesome. :lol

Also I dig the unlock dance for levels. Nice, along with the awards in the stats page. I have Top 100 (1) Two Streaks 10+ and some other one I'm forgetting along with "Admit One"s (WTF are these?)

Also the Spiderman 3 pelvic thrust + ODST armor from Halo Waypoint = Hilarious Awesome Times for me. I dunno why, but seeing my avatar's helmet move to the right as they start pelvic thrusting is hilarious.

If - in the Mob - you get a question wrong or win a prize, you are locked out from the Mob for the remainder of the *show*. You're good for the season still, though.
 
Can anyone recommend me a good television with low input lag. I'm noticing tonight that I could really use one for competitive play. Cost isn't a big deal, but a Black Friday deal would be great.
 
Ugh, after months of playing I finally made it into the mob, then the One bails and takes the 800 points after question #3 (an unusually difficult early question about Lolita), and I'm kicked back to the crowd despite having answered everything correctly.

Damn, that was anti-climactic. :(

No, he only took 600. He wasn't at 800 yet. Everyone in my group think he hit the wrong button, because he was in the Top 3 for the crowd in the last round.

Was that the xboxxdude or whatever with the hat and the vampire-ish face? Yeah, I assumed he hit the wrong button too.

I played for the first time last night (post beta) and am already addicted as all hell. I did one of the Extended Plays for the first time too and it's like night and day compared to the Live show. People are just plain dumber in there somehow. I came in late (around Question 11) and was the leader of the group by the 20th question.

I'm not a statistician or anything, but pretty much every question barely had a 33% success rate. That's fine and good if all 12,000 people guessed. However, since obviously some people would know the right answer, you'd think it would be around 5000 misses per question instead of 8500-10,000.

I really don't dig that the mob/one lottery is entirely based on points. I think at least half the mob should be random players just to give everyone a fair shot.
