That's no longer an issue this season. If you get picked to be in the Mob, you get to stay in until you win a prize or miss a question and then that's it for the season. If the one walks or disconnects without you missing a question you get another shot during that Live show(not neccesarily the next round though).

Yeah, I had this problem last night. Luckily someone was playing it and I just joined their game, but it was weird. Is there a solution to the problem?

Also, good thing about Live play is that most of the questions are easy. I was more nervous trying to get the Quick Draw achievement than anything else. :lol

Im still missing the six consecutive instant awnser bonuses achievement for the full 200. I think its the hardest achievement to get

Just look for the How Many, or Tech & Gadgets rounds.

They're both super easy.

That's the second time I've heard someone say this, and I'm pretty sure that it's not the case; I think if you win a prize or are eliminated from the mob, that's it for the *show*. Please don't make me read the official rules again, they make my head hurt!

Edit: I've just re-read it. It looks like you can only win a *prize* once per season, but if you're eliminated, you can re-enter the mob in a later show.

You and me both. I'll keep at it though. Last night I whiffed on number 6, I was so mad.
 
I found a solution to the infinite "loading" problem - you have to clear your HD cache.

As for the 6 streak, I got it on the live play yesterday, thankfully. What's funny though is that apparently, during the live play there was a set of 6 questions in a row that were all "X" answers. Whoops.

You don't have to clear your HD cache, just the Dashboard cache:

Guide > Hold L + R and press A
 
Cool. It was a pain in the ass to have to go to the HDD, so I'll try it out if I get any issues.

It seems to be related to being disconnected from the game though.
 
Ugh, did anyone just get upset with the last question in the video game round? The question was "Which company publishes EGM?" And the options was EGM Media, Ziff Davis, and some other company. The correct answer according to them is EGM Media, which is technically true since Steve Harris bought the name back and started EGM Media, but they haven't published anything yet. (I choose Ziff Davis knowing this was a trick question...)

Seems I posted in the old thread, but I played my first 1v100 tonight and I had a fun ass time. Some of the questions were really out there, but overall, I set up notifications for everything they had in the line-up. Too addictive, seeing as I turned on my 360 to play MW2 and instead played this for 2 hours :lol

Quick question, the only way to get into the 100 is to be in the top 100 overall correct? Out of the 40,000 playing or so that is. I don't know how those guys do it, I answer correctly on the first question in 0.2 seconds and they have like 40 points more than me. Pride obliterating bitch slap.

One last thing, that Vampire Academy chick was a total bore. The host asked if she played 360 and she got all excited, he then asked what games she plays "Uh...1vs100 and arcade games!" Yuck. She better be eye candy, a book about Vampires in school sounds like dogshit.

I've been playing extended play for 2 weeks now... just General Trivia and I've had a session of 21/37 repeat questions. If you play enough you will eventually see all the questions. They even had a question "Who is scheduled to host the Emmys in September" Come on, update the dam questions it's now December! This is how the top players are always the same people... I'm currently lv 31 and I bet the lv 50's out there have seen every question.

The mob is randomly picked. You don't have to be in the top 100 to be in the mob, how often you play and if you play extended play increase your chances to be in the mob.

Also if you have already won a prize this season or answered a question wrong while in the mob then you won't be picked again.
 
They still have some impossibly terrible questions though:

There are also some confusing questions... especially the ones about Heraldry or Greek to Roman Gods. Promethus gave us Fire, and 2 questions about jagermeister... Green bottle & a wiskey.
 
My party of four got two answers in a row correct so many times then one person would answer differently on the third. So close to getting 200 GS.

You've gotten Quick Draw before Group Hug? That 6 in a row lightning took me awhile to get, some questions require you to read all 3 choices and if it's X and you wait for B to appear it's already too late.

Yeah, that's why I got pissed about that "rhetoric question" question last Friday. This is a right answer game, not a best answer.

Just to clarify, you have to be in the eligible Top 100 for whatever criteria they use for that round--season score, weekly score, or previous round score.

So what are the thoughts on the perpetual Extended Play winners? I thought it was remotely possible that A Patch Of Blue was just super-smart but then he changed his avatar to V, so I'm guessing some light 4chan griefing. Network of friends hitting up Google?

To answer your question on Patch of Blue, JenaJancovic and others constantly in the top 3... they have been playing for a long time. The questions repeat I have answered 1127 questions in General Trivia and I'm getting near 1/2 repeats at this point. It's only a matter of time before I see all the questions... and can answer them quickly.

The question I've seen the most is "What flower does Vanilla come from" Orchid, I see it least once a night.

They need to verify that you're eligible for a prize, first. Playing from the right country, etc.

I guess they do this by hand.

You're best chance is during Prime Time shows... the first 3 questions are usually really easy. Unless you have some fool trying to get 3 in a row lightning WRONG Achievement... why did they make this crappy Achievement?
 
Well, I guess you definitely only get to be in the mob once per season, even if you don't win a prize. I finished in the top 100 when that was the criteria and... Nothing. Disappointed.

Got all the achievements but I really hate the Low Rider achievement. That's not an achievement, it's a consolation prize. They should rename it Hairtrigger Moron.
 
What time does it start tonight? I can't remember if Fridays are always 9 and Tuesdays are 7 (central) or what.
