Then I looked the AWESOME pic in the OP and again: "NO! It's too much!"
It's official guys. Blackout confirmed for me. I'm even thinking on skipping the Kojima Productions Report.
The ps3 that comes with the mgs4 combo is a regular 80gig ps3, no special art or anything (unless you live in Japan). So get a 80 gig now and preorder the LE of mgs4traveler said:I'm having this same debate, only it's because I want the SE. I don't suppose I could get the bundle come launch day and open it up immediately, trade in the sealed regular edition, and pay the difference to get the special edition?

Spiffy
Highly refined gameplay mechanics; Drebin Shop quietly revolutionizes gameplay.
Iffy
Still needs some difficulty balancing at the beginning of the first stage; June 12th feels like forever away.

Also, Kojima has implemented an auto-aim system that you can toggle on the fly with a tap of the Square button. Although some of our fellow game critics complained that it was a bit of a crutch, there were moments during the Middle East level in which it helps to switch between the manual over-the-shoulder

correct me if i'm wrong, but wasn't that freedom supposed to be play an important role in the game?

Eww..did it have to be "thick"fistfulofmetal said:Yep, my walls are covered in a thick coating of semen.

Personally, I doubt it has any sort of serious impact on the storyline/outcome of the missions.

SolidSnakex said:That was never supposed to happen according to Ryan. The PMC's are the bad guys so it really wouldn't make sense for Snake to team up with them.

Anything less for MGS4 would be uncivilized.

Thick is also a sign of very healthy seeds
RamzaIsCool said:Yeah it doesnt make sense, but in early interviews with Kojima he was talking about country A and country B where fighting each other on a battlefield and it was upto Snake to decide for who to fight. But I suppose the way this game turned out, it doesnt make sense for Snake fighting with the PMCs.
But then again who knows what will happen further up in the game, I think Kojima has got some big suprises in store for us.

There's a reason why we've been shown the same environment over and over and over and over...
The section of the main theme I'm talking about is the most sombre part of the song. I do not see how it's energetic at all, go listen to debriefingDrBo42 said:I think a main theme you're expecting is not going to appear in this game. If you listen to the past songs they're pretty damn energetic. That doesn't fit the mood of MGS4 at all. Snake is about to die and has one last mission. Not exactly something fitting an uplifting score.

No joke, I have no doubt Kojima is trying to create one of the best games of all time. Trying to make it perfect in every way, not rushed at all. Even having these reviewers come in months ahead of time just so they can hear criticisms and make final adjustmentsPoliceCop said:I can't shake the feeling that we're looking at a Best Game of All Time contender. Yoboman said:That Gamespy write-up was really boring, so diluted. We need more like Shane's. How come previews are going up so slowly?
Well I expected Eurogamer to have something. But I suppose it's being used for Edge. I'd have expected GI to post up a preview on their website either way. It sounds like they only wanted credible editors, so Gamespot probably didn't make the cut. Even if they had any personnel left to spare :lolSolidSnakex said:Some who played are likely going to have their previews be for the magazines they work for. But we still don't know who were invited. I mean so far sites like Gamespot or Eurogamer haven't posted anything about it.

He probably did, problem was he wrote it like a typical neutral, emotionless preview that gave no feeling for the game. Even though Ryan Payton suggested for them not to write that sort of way :\nelsonroyale said:going by the preview, gamespy didnt get to play the full game
