Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.
Tried out ENB again. What the fuck is up with the hideous SSAO and lighting issues? His current build is balls.

So those shots are running both the enb mod and the SSAA Tool together? What kind of performance hit could I expect with the SSAA tool? My rez is 1440x900 and my pc is a 2500k with a 560ti. The low rez of the monitor does have the benefit of giving me pretty good performance : D

No, as soon as I switch to DX9 so I can use the enb mod, SSAA Tool doesn't work anymore. It only gives me the increased resolution option if I use DX11 mode. :\ These are forced SSAA through AMD's drivers with RadeonPro.

With a GTX 580 and ubersampling I get between 20-30fps in most areas of the game, probably less than that on a few demanding parts.

Yeah, I get ~20-25 fps on a single 6950. BTW, ubersampling is just like the SSAA Tool in that if you put 2 next to it, it's just the number it's upping the resolution to. If you put a 3 there your framerate will drop to the teens. (It's also why 1 does nothing.)

Built a new computer last week, and (re)playing through some games at high settings :)

Dead Space 2 - Got FXAA enabled through the Nvidia control panel, but it doesn't seem to show in the screenshots. Oh well, still pretty in my opinion!

Also tried out the Witcher 2. Never got too far in it at release since it ran like ass on my laptop, planning to play through it with the new patch.

30-35 fps on Ultra, a good 10-15 fps higher than on my laptop with everything on Low! Have yet to OC my CPU, might gain a bit more on that(?).

Booted it up again, with the EE available now. Nothing noticeable in these pictures, but I happened to load up a particularly lovely area. Definitely will be replaying this game soon.

Also realized that you can pause the game mid-battle and get some good action, non-blurry shots, by disabling the hud and hitting escape or ctrl for slow-mo. Works really well.

Commence The Witcher 2 EE barrage! Please? That's one game I could look at all day and the pics above show how beautiful it is at every instance. Some games have clear beauty moments meant for screenshots where there's not much going on and they up the environment detail but The Witcher 2 looks good in EVERY single instance in and out of combat. It's insane how good it looks.

I noticed how different the lighting is on the 360 version so I'm curious to see how the PC EE looks.

Edit: Wow, no lighting change on PC among other graphical improvements missing. It would have been nice to see those on PC since the Eurogamer article mentioned they would come to the PC.

PC lighting didn't change.

A few Witcher 2 shots. I still can't get AA through my control panel to work, so I disabled the built in AA and I'm using SMAA for the time being. It's better than no AA. Sorry for the jpeg compression, making PNGs from my BMPs would still be 2.5MB+...unless that's ok? (I try to keep everything 1.8MB and below)

Witcher 2 is such an amazing looking game. Playing it again with these settings, I have learned to appreciate this game much more than I did last year. This will no doubt be one of my favorite, if not most favorite, RPG this generation.

Fine... maybe I'll actually play it without AA since I won't be able to get a new card for a long time... fucking hell...

No offense but sword and sorcery has to be one the ugliest game ever made, that artstyle is repulsive.

I never really like indie game art styles, but that one is really making me want to play it... I don't understand it, but I love it. It conveys so much with what would normally seem like visually poop.

Battlefield 3, 1440p all settings maxed. I swear to God it was running at 130fps when I took this screen. It rarely drops below 100fps.

More Battlefield 3 goodness:

Crysis Warhead, 1440p 8xAA all settings max:

Crysis is very CPU constrained (only supports 2 cores as far as I know) so there is relatively little difference when I disable 1 of the 3 7970s and run in 2x mode. It will run at 70-80fps instead of 80-90fps.

Believe it or not, the game that pushes my rig harder then any other I've tried is Empire: Total War:

Warhead again, left the Fraps counter on in this one:
