So who makes it look easier? Ledecky in the 800m free or Bolt in the 200m sprint? Obviously Ledecky has more time to build a bigger lead but both are just so far in front of the competition it's insane

It's impressive to see Bold gold medal AND disappointed... ^_^

I mean, it's not a huge time, but it's raining...

It's a battle for bronze because Bolt and De Grasse are going 1 and 2
Happy for Lemaitre... He couldn't hope better, anyway.

Seeing the photography, all three should get bronze... Such a close arrival...

As long as Degresse stays healthy these next few years, the guy is going to be the next big one

he's still young, tonight tho king stays the king

Ledecky

That performance was absurd.

De Grasse is the first Canadian to medal in the 200m since Percy Williams, who won gold at the 1928 Olympics in Amsterdam.

And a white guy got a medal in the 200m! Now there's something that doesn't happen often.

Jesus, the Jamaican girl commentating is making it sound like Bolt failed because of his time. Come on, be excited...

De Grasse will have to be content with all the gold shit he wears, he won't be coming anywhere to a medal as long as the KING is still in the game.

On the replay, Bolt went pretty hard the whole race, even grimacing in the last few meters.

yeah, I'll be interesting to see their start times. Deadspin had a good article recently demonstrating that he has become gun shy since they changed the false start rules and got DQ'd. That would really impact his ability to match his old records

Headwind, rain, just bad conditions for Bolt, sadly.

I think he was actually looking at the clock at the end and noticed he was off pace.

yeah he did. he didn't deliberatly let up like he often does when he's won either. imo i think he reaaaaaaaallly wanted to end on a world record but he's not in the shape he was as a younger man + conditions held him back
