I'm glad I got to witness the Bolt domination of the past 3 Olympics.

I don't think we'll see anyone as good for decades, if ever.

yeah, I'll be interesting to see their start times. Deadspin had a good article recently demonstrating that he has become gun shy since they changed the false start rules and got DQ'd. That would really impact his ability to match his old records

Reaction time was not an issue.

China just took the first set 27-25 against Netherlands in the semifinal in Volleyball! Very good game, next set goes to Netherlands please!
Incredible set
Netherlands was winning 12x5
Then China was winning 24x20
Then Netherlands saved all set points, but China won at the end

Has there even such a superstar like Bolt at the olympics ? And by superstar I'm not talking about the number of gold medals but popularity. Bolt is still running around the stadium and people are still cheering lmao

No reason for bolt to come back in tokyo. Said the same about phelps. Neither of these guys need to come back at 35 even if they can. Nothing really left to prove.

Bolt has been a great face of track and field/sprint

There are few athletes as universally loved as Bolt.

Tracks are gonna suffer so much from Bolt retiring

They won't be able to fill as many stadiums as before during regular meetings :(

Bolt would only be 33 though.. I think he should try.

We'll never see his like again. Gets drug tested so much and not so much as a hint of doping for Bolt with the kind of testing done now. His genetics, his charisma and determination. He can probably still win gold in Tokyo if he really wanted to and stayed healthy. But his last hamstring injury was big. Much greater risk for injury. No one can touch him. As much as Canadian media announcers cheering De Grasse, being almost 2 or 3 tenths behind might as well be a mile. If Bolt doesn't compete, and De Grasse keeps training and stays healthy, he will be able to do double gold in Tokyo.

American track and field in crazy decline. Such a non factor especially in short sprinting.

They are far above petty medals at this point, competing on a poor form would only tamper their near mythical status.

Four medals for Canada today -- gold, silver, and two bronze. We've now tied our result at the 2012 Olympics, but with four gold instead of one.

Team USA just not what it used to be.

Yup people are losing it on french forums lmao

WHO SAID WHITE BOYS CAN'T SPRINT
Well, if I'm not mistaken, he's the first white spriter that broke the 10s mark on 100m.

Poor Adam Gemili. Guy comes across so genuine and friendly, seeing him in this interview is gut-wrenching.
Lemaitre went to see him because he was sad for him... He's a really nice guy, too.
