random thing I seem to have noticed about this olympics but there doesn't seem to have much (if any?) effort by the main Olympic sponsors to promote the games this year, no ads from coca cola, no Olympic burger from mcdonalds, very strange

There are Olympic burgers in Japan. I saw them in a YouTube video.

Freedom about to beat Mother Russia.

People may find racewalk funny, but at least, there was suspense till the end...

Also, it seems there were more soldiers than spectators ^_^

Team GB officially finish 2nd above China with a unanimous lead.

What an achievement for a country of 67m people that only got 1 gold 20 years ago.

A proud moment.

Pretty incredible that we got more medals than our home games just 4 years ago as well.

I expected the Olympics to be terrible due to the current state of Brazil but it actually went pretty good , except for dumbass Ryan lying , everything was alright

Tokyo will be hype though

First exo suit in the Olympics gonna happen, gatLin will wear it to try to get a W
Yep. It was quite a good event. Some ups and downs like always though. Of course some people will keep finding reasons fo justify their bias, but all it's good. Most of the people enjoyed the games and that's the whole deal.

The only true questionable thing is booing. Most of the people and even athletes don't care, but when an athlete cry on the podium i think it's a bit too much. Although later Teddy Riner from judo said the athletes needs to grow a pair and deal with it, so it really is a controversial topic.

Who would have thought that GB would have finished with more medals and be above China four years after a home games? Astonishing achievement.

London 2012 should go down as an all time classic Olympic Games.

Just have to chime in and agree with this. The games went extremely well, amazing venues and all of that, but one of the best parts was probably invisible to those who weren't there. The city was empty (as empty as London could be, at least) so it was amazing time for visitors to see as much of the city as possible.

Same thing happened in LA 1984. Everyone was terrified of the traffic that the games would cause, but so many people took those couple of weeks off in response, it was like those who remained had the entire city to themselves.

Unfortunately that didn't happened in Rio. Most of the people kept living life like usual, with the exception of a couple of days off given for days with big events. Sometimes that meant heavy traffic. Much better than anyone expected though. They did a very good job to mantain the order in Rio.

It took a lot of time for the olympic Spirit to hit the city, but at least it did

Only just realized that the Bulgarian gymnasts were performing to some music from the Matrix after seeing their uniforms outfitted with the green computer code from the Matrix lol
