I think the joke of that picture is that both look horrible but are originally awesome. Or something of that sort.

Kind of disappointed those starters are fake. Grew really fond of Smugleaf's final evo in them.
Garchomp looks a lot more likable.

Charizard looks like a Digimon.

I hope to god you're joking. These are average Digimon:

He looks like a derivative version of Greymon.

Ultimate and Mega Digimon tend to be too mecha (Weregarurumon could totally pass for a Mightyena evo without the pants and with a recolour, however).

You must be smoking that new shit.

Shell Blade's animation has a shell appear to slash the opponent; that's the closest you're going to get. I guess they decided that if the actual Pokémon animation had it hold its shell when it attacks, it wouldn't really fit any of its other moves.

Team Rocket got a makeover. They have finally been promoted and are known as Team Rocket Advance Troop. Also, they're now wearing TR grunt clothes.

The series is dead to me. DEAD

Apparently there's a massive Black/White special planned for the Pokemon Sunday running on the 12th. Masuda will be prominently involved.

Now, will the September CoroCoro leak before or after this?

CoroCoro generally leaks out on the 10th/11th, so it will be before the special on the 12th.

You know what tidbit of info I find fascinating about the Anime?

That Yōichi Kotabe, the same person who's responsible for pretty much most of the classic Mario artwork post SMB, Mole Mania, and such, primarily works as animation supervisor in the Pokemon Anime, and is responsible for refining the yellow rat's design for it! :D Not clarified in the article, but it's obvious that he did the same for pretty much every Pokemon in the Anime, why would he just stop at Pikachu and all the Pokemon do of course share that style.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yoichi_Kotabe

So you have a bit of classic Mario in Pokemon, and Pokemon in classic Mario! XD

I always find it neat pretending that the monsters he's made in some of the games to be Pokemon:

Odd that an illustrator isn't credited for Wario's Woods.

Yanappu is apparently part of a trio The video of the Gym had Water Grass and Fire symbols not to mention the two gym leaders behind Dento.

Apparently the starter evolutions are likely real. That's what Serebii, PokeBeach, and others are reporting. While most people here will probably not like that, I actually am happy since I actually liked the evolutions.

Still debatable: the "screenshot" containing the back sprite of Pokabu's final evolution actually says "Mijumaru" by the name, thus invalidating their "proof." No need to panic--yet. ;D

Still absolutely hate the abomination that is Mijumaru's final evolution. ;__;

Tsutaja's final evo looks pretty cool! and i like Mijimaru's as well! i want a bigger pic for Pokabu's final evo though, i can't see the details.

Yep, goona pick up Mijimaru now:D :D
if all the final evolution's art were real in the first place

Screenshot? I haven't seen any screenshot of the starter evos. Serebii, PokeBeach, PokeJungle... none of them posted any. I'll look around some more, but all I've seen is the artwork.

EDIT: nvm, found it.

I love the final evolutions if they're true, the only thing I don't like is that Pokabu's looks a little too close to Rhyperior in stance.

Also, I wonder if the gyms no longer are type based if Dento is having grass, fire and water monkeys...

I'll watch the the next pokemon season, if only to see what contrived excuse they come up with to avoid having Ash win the Pokémon League. :lol

I... still refuse to believe the evolutions are real. They just can't be. And would Game Freak seriously troll us with ANOTHER Fire/Fighting starter? It just... can't be true.

But if they are indeed the real thing, this will be the first gen I don't have a starter on my team. =/

And I really wanted to like you, Smugleaf. Too bad...

The only thing I still don't like about this game is the 3 on 3 battles. I never liked 2 on 2 before and this just looks to up the ante.

Also, the unknown opponent is called ヤナップ (Yanappu), and the supposed evolution has far too little HP (Pokabu has 126 at level 50, while its 'evolution' has 137 at 58).

Besides, no way would the whole game get leaked this early. Game Freak is not Sonic Team.

On Pokejungle they're saying someone owned up to faking the starter evolutions. They looked waaaaaay overdone, so I'm surprised so many took them hook, line and sinker. Wotter's final evolution completely threw to the wind all design element consistency from his first evo -- far moreso than any Combusken to Blaziken -- which should've clued people in right then and there.

It's probably a gimmick trio gym, like there were gimmick duo gym in RSE.

Apparently the guy who owned up had no proof, and now Serebii is saying that his inside sources have confirmed that they are in fact real.

If those evos turn out to be real, a lot of people will be joining the B-Button league!

(See an early episode of D&P "Ya Know We Want an Evolution!" for info on how to join the B-Button League)

All signs are pointing to a triple battle--perhaps a rotation battle, even?

My guess is that you start off fighting Dento, and then he calls in his lackeys to help with a triple battle, both of whom are positioned behind the curtains earlier in the gym. (One can see the red-haired guy lurking behind the first curtain emblazoned with the Fire-type emblem in the same video.)

If the starter evolutions are real then I really hope Emboar doesn't end up being another fire/fighting starter evolution. That's the only thing I could see it being besides a pure fire type.

So were the evolutions real after all? Crap. I don't mind their second forms but I hate their final evos. Specially Mujimaru's.

The guy who posted the images said "Emboar" was Fire/Dark if that helps.

I was really sure the evolutions were fake, but oh well. I actually like Mijumaru's evolutions; the others not so much. I hate picking the water starters because there's so many water Pokemon I like and they always overpopulate my team. :lol

I don't know if this is where I should post this, but apparently someone on the Nuzlocke forums created a Tabletop version of Pokemon.

Here's the link if you guys wanna check it out:

Download (It's safe the zip contains a Bestiary, GM rules, Player's Guide and a Patch Log.)

And to the evolution thing I say:
