Daigoro said:i picked one of these up from ebay the other week for cheapo. these are cheap all over now. saw them for 8$ on the Rock Band store. got mine for under 15 shipped on ebay.
i tried it out a few times and it seems pretty nice. better than the normal d-pad obviously.
the 2 glaring faults though, are the convex shape of the d-pad (the hell?) and the lack of shoulder buttons. so this controller will probably be of limited use.
Jonnyboy117 said:Any verdict on the Slim's controllers' D-pads? I watched a breakdown on Tested that showed some minor differences but haven't read any user impressions.
No idea what HID compliant means, but it works fine on the PC. Vista picked it up straight away and it behaves like any standard wired 360 controller does.Cosmo Clock 21 said:Will probably pick it up; is the controller HID-compliant so I can use it on a PC?

Wario64 said:They were $9.90 here in the US Amazon, picked up one last week. Great controller! Only problem is the controller is pretty limited with only 4 face buttons
fernoca said:Disconnecting the drums is just a matter of disconnecting each cable...right?
I don't want to find out that I need some soldering skills too. :lol
Wario64 said:I didnt even think about using the controller for emulation. That'd be awesome too.
richisawesome said:Yeah, I couldn't be bothered to set up my gamecube and gameboy player last night, so I played Wario Land 4 on VBA-M on my PC. Only controller I had to use though was my wireless 360 Controller. And it sucked.
Oh and if this is standard USB, surely this controller will work on the PS3 too?
brain_stew said:Its an Xinput rather than HID device, so no, it won't work on the PS3.
It's segmented because they're actually separate buttonsbrain_stew said:Segmented Dpad!? Hell no!! :lol

TheSeks said:How good is the SF4 pads? I'm leery because it's Mad Catz and the controllers/shit I've had from them shat out within weeks. I heard the SF4 pads are okay, but the D-pad breaks after heavy use? :/ Is that true?
Sorry for not being part of the drum kit hype train, but not enough buttons for modern 2D/fighting games for me.
LongDongJunon said:Sorry for the bump, I just have a question about the RB drumkit controller.
I currently have a Hong Kong made BlazePro ps2 to 360 Converter that works great but requires a (semi)official wired controller to work.
I a bought a cheap ($20) wired controller from ebay a few months ago and got what I paid for as it stopped working about 2 weeks after purchasing it.
Does anyone know if the RB drum kit controller would be detected as a microsoft wired controller by my converter?
I would like to get one of these for stand by rather than buy a brand new controller, as well as use it as a go to pad for classic games that don't require shoulder buttons/triggers.
Thanks.
