3DS Weak Audio Output Fix for Under $30

ATH M50s have an impedance rating of 38Ω. I'm not sure how that relates to Shiina's question, as they're much easier to drive.

I just wanted to know if it had better audio drivers. I didn't know they changed those components at all so it's interesting to know that they did.

The ONLY game that is actually loud on the 3DS is Etrian Odyssey IV. Why the hell is that? I played SMTIV with headphones and it was still pretty damn low.
Soul Hackers is even worse than SMTIV. Audio output has been my biggest issue with 3DS games so far. Not sure why EOIV is the only one that escaped that.

Will look into this later. Thanks for posting OP.

Having 600Ω headphones is why I never plug mine into my 3DS.

You said the Vita 1000 has the same problem (it does but it's slightly less bad), does that mean the 2000 has better audio drivers?
Regular consumer electronic devices are never going to be able to drive 600Ω headphones. The general rule of thumb is that the source's output impedance should be greater than 1/8th of the impedance of your headphones. You should be using a headphone amp at all times. Even something like a cheap E6 is going to help a lot.

I have one, I just can't connect it to either of my handhelds unfortunately.

In that case, something like the FiiO E6 or a more upscale E11 or E12 would be good purchases. I've had an E6 for a few years now, and I'm thinking of upgrading myself.
