If you like funky, vocoder-infused music in the vein of Daft Punk's Random Access Memories, you'll probably dig Starcadian's tunes: https://starcadian.bandcamp.com/

My favourite tracks from Sunset Blood (his first album) are Ronnie (album mix), Sgt. Tagowski and Lovetop. Unfortunately, those songs aren't available on Youtube, so you'll have to listen to them on Bandcamp.

I've just purchased his latest album/EP (Saturdaze) and so far it sounds really awesome! I'll post my favourite tracks after I've listened to it some more.

EDIT: Dance Or Die ROCKS! I think I've found my favourite track!

If anyone is interested in a bit of post-apocalyptic imagery with their synth action, as well as some guitar shredding, then check this compilation out:

https://jonoftheshred.bandcamp.com/album/scythe

You get 2 tracks with the pre-order, the rest made available on the October 1st release date.

Really liked the little bit I heard. Will have to give it a full listen asap. That bandcamp page is all sorts of horrid design though. Yikes.

its out:

edit: goddamn the track 37 Million Horsepower channels some of dät Dance with the Dead energy!

also the Cold in July soundtrack is up on Spotify: http://open.spotify.com/album/6ZC2bJy4Kyz91Izyko9BEb

Really loving the 4 track EP from Dynatron. Good stuff, wish there was more! I like the Cold in July tracks, but it just feels kinda empty without the film.

Starcadian rocks. Love his first album. The sound scapes are terrific, I love that big booming distorted bass sound. Sgt Tagowski is incredible, even if it does eventually sound striking familiar to a riff from Thriller. Hope to see the new album on Google Play soon. Thanks for the heads up! edit: God damn 'Dance or Die' does rock!!!

edit:

Another new album to notify folks about. I see now a new release from Droid Bishop. Loving it so far.

The 'Scythe' project I mentioned earlier is beginning to pick up more steam. Over 20 artists contributed to this project, a never-ending concept album set in its own universe. Three releases are already dropping with a huge roster of synthwave acts across 4 compilations:

DATAStream, Python Blue, Miami Supercops, Riddlis, Dakarius, 20SIX Hundred, Beatbox Machinery, Hide and Sequence, Quantum, KFDDA, Leonardo Rizzo of the Maniac Agenda, Cluster Buster, Bixby Snyder, Killstarr, Protector 101, Ed Harbinger, ZoneKiller, Powder Slut, Daniel Deluxe, and Lazerpunk

So thanks to Hotline Miami, I'm now a fan of electronic/synth music. M.O.O.N., Perturbator, Light Club...and that's about it at the moment

Any other recommended artists? I prefer the most fast paced music, like MOON's Hydrogren and Perturbator's Future Club.
