Mux Mool - Skulltaste [Ghostly, 2010]

Crossing streams with eclectronica, this album blends typical 80's beats with chiptune-style synths and chillwave/spacewave basslines and ambient sounds. I can't really put a finger on it, it's a complete mishmash of genres. It's pretty nifty, but perhaps not 100% suitable for this thread.

Mux Mool - Get Better John [please ignore the fucking bear in the video]

Cover alone is totally worth posting though, haha.

edit 2: daaamn this shit is so freaking cool. Crazy organs, dark synths, epic choirs. Listen to that Powder Slut track and tell me that's not the most intense shit you've heard all day.

well, it is made by one girl living in Ukraine. Local political environment might dwell up some grim shit you know...

I really think Starcadian's "Saturdaze" album is my front runner for my Album of the Year. Keep going back to it constantly, moreso than 'Near Dark' even. Big part of that is the production as well, everything just sounds so massive.

One of my alltime favourite producers came out with a pseudo-soundtrack to an 80s horror movie last month. After the amazing "Wastelands" album it seems Protector 101 is definately going for the soundtrack-style sounds. And god bless him because this is cool shit. It's dark, gloomy, moody.

Album is "name your price" on BandCamp, but don't be a scrub.

Dance with the Dead released this remix today, pretty damn good, makes me want to watch some 80's action movies. Kristine - The Deepest Blue (DWTD Remix) Apparently the song is a few months old, I just saw it posted today on their Facebook, my mistake! Still kicks ass.

By the way has anyone ever mentioned the Shatter OST in here? It's right up this thread's alley if anyone hasn't checked it out. Pretty fun game too.

I'm kind of shocked guys like Perturbator didn't drop something today. You'd think Haloween is like their most prominent moment, given their musical style.

Ahh I see now, yeah the new layout is garbajiyo. I've been letting the recommended mixes run after it, lots of cool stuff actually.

speaking of movies, highly recommend checking out The Guest, just saw it last week and the soundtrack is pure gold!

i mean, play this track: https://survive.bandcamp.com/track/hourglass

and tell me you don't want to see it and buy all the featured artists' albums :D There's even some Perturbator in there. It's from the same team who made the "Hotline Miami" movie You're Next that also had a diamond soundtrack.

That album by Survive is also up on Spotify: http://open.spotify.com/album/5EWAFRqwwG1reTkmE5g1yN
