$99 New 3DS Black Friday Deal

For those of you looking for faceplates, Amazon Germany has several cheap ones starting from $3 and they ship to the US. Although many of the cool ones are expensive. Shipping to US is around $15 so unless you're buying multiple of the cheaper ones then it won't be cost effective I guess.

When I travel I use something like this.

Personally I like switching out the carts. Something about it feels satisfying: mechanical, solid, real. Still, if there's something I'm going to switch to constantly, I have it digital, games like Animal Crossing. Carts are for big games that will take awhile, like Ocarina of Time.
 
I'm still very worried about using my new 3ds because I don't want to dirty it up or ruin the buttons, which was the reason behind needing a new 3ds in the first place.

Wash your hands before using it?

I mean, there isn't much you can do other than keep your hands clean and cleaning it often with a cloth.
 
At some point we all have to let go and not worry about keeping it pretty. Especially with the cheapo materials Nintendo and Foxconn use.
 
I like fire emblem and strategy rpgs in general and I want to play through 3ds ones.

What order? Only want to buy one at a time. No digital purchases.

Considering smt4, the fire emblems, anything else?

I have an extra black one that I'll probably part with for cost ($108) + shipping. Originally bought it for someone else but they dropped out. I was going to keep it for myself but I'm content with my 3DS XL.

Same thing on my page. Other people have said they talked to support and it's still on target for arriving on 12/15 or 12/16. Fingers crossed that our orders don't get canceled.

Any good pouches for the system? I don't need something super sturdy, just some basic protection.
 
Put the Walmart 150 one in my cart there was 1 left but I haven't shopped at Walmart in like 6 years, tried to reset password but their site was screwed up and by the time I got it working it was gone.

I can't even find a 3dsxl anywhere. Bestbuy has them on sale this week started today but they are sold out online and in store for 250 mile radius. Target is sold out everywhere at regular price....wtf.

I may have to package mine up and give it to my son to save xmas.

I think it looks great and all reviews on the site for it are very positive saying it feels high quality (despite being super cheap). And I love that it can fit in the charger inside.
 
I was interested in the charging dock until I learned that it doesn't come with a charger, so you need to buy that separately and plug it in the dock. Fuck that noise.
 
Finally got my n3ds from TRU yesterday! The slight bump in size from the original is great, and the build quality is really solid. Really pleased with it :D

Now, off to the homebrew thread!

Also, it is a bit annoying that many popular games seem hard to find...

Why wouldn't you buy digitally if you didn't like this? Handhelds in 2016 just feel right with digital games on them. Carrying around carts fucking sucks.

It's a guaranteed hit imo. If this becomes the spiritual successor to the 3DS there's no way this could fail. A 'proper console' Pokémon would make the hardware an instant success

Which is confusing because a few months ago $150 would have gotten you a new 3DS with a second cover plate and Super Mario 3D Land, but those just seemed to collect dust on shelves...now folks are jumping at the same price for less product.

They were only available at certain retailers plus a summer release date. Also, white.

Christmas is a different game.

Not sure, usually takes a long time ordering from China. 2 to 4 week? I ordered a bluetooth speaker recently and I think it took like 21 days (I'm not in the US though). I have another order that has been longer and still hasn't arrived.

I'm not in a hurry about the cases, but I also ordered two 3DS chargers the same day and I kinda wish I bought those locally because I'm worried they'll take too long. The prices are amazing on a lot of things there though and makes sense to order when you're not in a rush.
 
I just need a faceplate and my 3DS is pretty much complete. The Black matte ones are expensive and hard to find. I can settle for those cute Kirby faceplates but those are also pretty expensive. Choices choices...
 
I was going to sell the white 3DS I bought to a gaffer for retail + tax + shipping ($120 total) but they dropped out. If anyone here wants it, just PM me.
