There's already that universal "feature" on the iphone where you tap anywhere near the top of the screen and it'll scroll lists all the way up. And since the thread headers in this Neogaf webapp double up as a quick-scroll-to-the-bottom button, getting the last post is just a mere two taps away hehsprsk said:100 Reply browsing can be a little tedious, could you maybe put some buttons that make it so we can go to the top or bottom from anywhere in the thread?
If you change your setting on neogaf.com to only show 50 posts per thread, it will appear that way in the web app as well. Otherwise, just tap the white bar at the top of the screen then tap the \/ in the thread title to quickly jump to the bottom.sprsk said:100 Reply browsing can be a little tedious, could you maybe put some buttons that make it so we can go to the top or bottom from anywhere in the thread?
Sounds like you have Javascript disabled. Make sure you have it turned on as both of those features require it.DMeister3 said:Whenever I go to search, the button reacts, but does nothing, whenever I go to post, the button reacts but it doesn't actually post. To be clear, I can hit reply at he bottom of a page, but I can't post.
It looks like your browser is spoofing a desktop user-agent. Try entering "about:config" into the address bar and see if you can change it to an actual mobile browser user-agent.sk3 said:Opera/9.50 (Windows NT 6.0; u; en) Presto/2.1.1
jonnybryce said:3. If you want to be able to get to the bottom from anywhere in the thread, or any site, you should get the bookmarklets (scroll to bottom, find in page, etc). Info on that here.
Nerevar said:I like the idea but there appears to be no way to add bookmarklets without adding it to a dekstop safari installation / syncing bookmarks to the iphone, meaning bookmarklets are not an option for people who don't use safari. That's obnoxious. Typical of apple though, I guess.
Magnus said:So, I'm a moron; is this a traditional app in the sense that I download it and add it to my phone's home screen, or do I just use it as a safari bookmark (www.secondapps.com/neogaf) because that seems to be working just fine so far. :lol

You are correct, sir.Charred Greyface said:Does the webapp not show post (not thread) titles?

One question, is it possible to take this code and make a neogaf app? That's the only way I could see this being any better.
mrkgoo said:How would it be better that way?
Well apart from us being able to support it financially.
This way at least, there's nothing hanging over Ckohler's head, and he can update it and have it instantly 'pushed out' to all users. No approval process.
Megadrive said:I used this on my LG KS360 (horrible phone) and for some reason whenever I try to login your app always complains that Javascript is not on when it is. Maybe something you've overlooked in your code?
Juice has made a mobile NeoGAF app. Don't know if he's still working on it. Info here: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=15810594&postcount=421MercuryLS said:This thing is perfect now, my day would stuck without mobile GAF.

I'll look into this. I left them off because most of the time nobody uses them and I was focusing on making the pages scroll less.Charred Greyface said:Does the webapp not show post (not thread) titles?
I have an idea or two but this is a pain for me to test and if I accidently cause log-ins to break while testing, it could cause a lot of headaches for everyone.Megadrive said:Hey, it's been over a month and this question still hasn't been answered. Any ideas at all?
Not yet. That's on my list of features to add along with PM paging.bdizzle said:Is there a way to reply to PM's from mobile gaf?

I got an e-mail from my web host today (Dreamhost.com) that the site where I host the web app has been consuming too much CPU usage (probably the web app itself), so they have temporarily disabled the entire domain completely. I have contacted support to see what my options are. Initially, they appear to be suggesting I upgrade to a private server solution but this could cost $$$ depending on how much memory my PHP scripts require... for which I have absolutely no idea.
Further information as it develops. In the mean time, the web app is unavailable.
Do you have any information on how much bandwidth it is eating up? I guess if nothing else shows up I can host it.ckohler said:Important Notice!
