Akiba's Trip: Undead and Undressed |OT| No shoes, no shirt, all fanservice!

No one wants a throne you've been sitting on!
So, I am finding the NPC police to be a real downer on my stripping antics.

Especially since they can easily become accidentally get hit and then they attack me with their overleveled attacks ._.

Get someone else to hit a cop, have cop arrest said person and while the 2 are stuck in that arrested motion of just standing there or whatever it is, you dont have to worry about cops in that zone for a while. something like that is what I used to do, to get the cops to stop spawning or have one locked down in a specific location.

I think I found maids most commonly at Junk Street, some of them there are Synthisters, too. Side Streets might work as well.

Ah okay, so just wait for the weapon you were walking about earlier. Alright, then. I really only have to get one more (?) fight in at the arena plus the fight against the owner and that should it for the arena. Guess I'll just stick with leveling my bat up.

Actually it's a different weapon. The weapon I was taking about is from beating the game. That weapon is stronger. However the weapon you'll get soon is better than your bat.

I saw one in Akihabara Park, but if I press "O", she just runs away. Guess I just gotta search the city for another one...
She should keep spawning there. Most NPCs types do that.

Take a picture and if she's a vampire, then start a fight with her. (Make sure you can actually get her stuff without ripping it too.)

Wow, too bad I missed it then. Oh well, I'll make sure to grab it next time. Thanks!

Don't feel too bad. On my second playthrough I tried to get Shion's ending and missed it by getting ONE thing wrong so I got the same ending as my first play through. Feels bad. Now I don't even want to attempt her again since I already did it all. Doing Shizuku on my 3rd run now.

Like, you missed her true end by one choice? Or just her route in general?

Her route in general (which is basically the end section that kicks over in the last 15%). You can do 100% affection with her and not get her end if you mess up on one quest option.
There is a quest where you are asked to choose who to go with, Shizuku,Tohko or go by yourself. Choose by yourself. If you choose one of the others it locks you out of her end all together.

Hope that helps someone else. The quest isn't even plot specific and feels inconsequential. I figured I had her on lock since new game + gives you the option to show you the right affection choices and I 100% her choices and avoided affection for anyone else. But that one screw up made me miss it. :(

So, anyway...

I've completed the "Silent Mode" mission before, and then it popped again on my mission list with a positive mark (Probably showing that it was already completed already); completed it again and it showed it once again.

I don't think I need to do that one multiple times, right?

Oh yeah, that one. I'm trying for Shion's route now, and I managed to get that thankfully. Pro tip for anyone trying for her, besides making sure you do what Yukiko mentioned above, make sure you don't raise ANYONE else's affection. Basically, you have to be a jerk to everyone but Shion.

It'll keep popping up. There are a couple missions that you can do as many times as you want. (To get money and stuff.)

Holy crap, that's good to know. I just chose that on my 2nd playthrough so I guess I'm locked out of it now, lol. Guess I'll try to get Rin's ending then! Thanks!!!

Oh man, just when you think you've discovered all the references....

& nope, no maids showing up in Junk Street. & I don't think the ones in front of the maid cafes will ever let me fight them.

Keep looking, I guess? I just checked Junk Street and I didn't see the usual maids either, so perhaps they cycle. (The NPCs do seem to change as the game progresses.)

If you can't find any fightable light blue maids now, you might have to progress the story a bit. Though if you do that, the side quest might expire.

If all else fails, you might have to save this side quest for your next playthrough.

Bleh I'm sorry :/

The rest of the endings are much easier. Shion is the hardest and it's kind of a special ending I guess.
The plot changes the most for her end.

I'm bummed I didn't get it, since I really like her.

I'd say give it another shot next time. Now you know your mistake, so you can correct it.

You should have some pretty sweet gear by now, so you should be able to breeze through the first part.

I'll probably attempt it in a week or two. 3 times back to back is a lot for me :p Love this game though. About to get Shizukus end in 20 min. Thinking of taking a break and buying Disgaea 4.

"Man, you know what I should do? Fight in the Battle Arena alone on Gamer difficulty!"

...

Never again

Yeah...S Rank is difficult as hell. Thing is, it's pretty much one hit brings you down to Zero. You can dance around the entire time, but all it takes is the group getting a combo on you and locking you in place. And suddenly all your clothes durability drops to Zero. I managed to make it to the 3rd round on S mode, but my partner died so I was going solo. Ended up dying after I had half their clothes off.

So close.

Ugh, I was SO close to finishing the 3rd group on S-rank alone since Shizuku was down against the first group, but damn they wouldn't give me a chance to attack & heal.

& FINALLY, tons of maids are appearing just like you said, Hours Left....now hopefully one of the light blue ones will fight against me.

Edit: THERE, I got it. Now I can go to sleep....& then try winning the million yen lottery tomorrow.

So I started this game tonight and I'm having a great time. I wasn't able to play a whole lot [only a few hours], but I'm really enjoying what I've played so far.

One small thing, though.

Has anyone experienced what seems like a slight "skip" in the audio? It seems to happen every few minutes or so [sometimes longer than that] and usually at the end of the dialogue. I'm on Japanese VO with English subtitles [connected via 5.1 surround sound], if it matters. It's not a massive complaint, as it doesn't detract from the gameplay at all, it's just something I noticed.

I'm really hoping I can find a Metal Bat tomorrow. Not sure if I can get it early on or not, but it sounds as thought that it's worth the effort to upgrade. Oh, is there anything I should concentrate on [purchase-wise] for early game, such as stripping upgrades or whatever?

I've already decided to try for the Nana Route [to get that one out of the way for subsequent play-through] and try for Shizuka if I can. I'm not terribly interested in using a guide for my first play, though, so I might just grab the Sister End and then whatever girl I end up with given the choices I make throughout the game. A FAQ/walkthrough is more of a NG+ sort of thing for me. :)

I can't for the life of me find the last group of thugs in the Silent Mode 3 mission. I had similar problems with the previous two, but this one is taking the cake.

I found the Junk Street and UD+ groups, but I can't find anyone else at any of the other four locations. It's driving me nuts.

This does happen from time to time on the PS3 version, and is the primary reason I've been telling people the Vita version has slightly better performance, since I don't think it's happened to me even once in the Vita version of the game.

It's a remnant from the Japanese game that we wish could've been fixed, but sadly, it was not to be.

I've gotten stuck on one of the Silent Mode quests a couple times, and each time, I was able to go back to one of the areas where I'd already encountered a group and... hey, look, another group! So you might want to try going back to Junk Street and UD+ and checking again.

Thanks for the reply on the matter, I appreciate it. As I said, it doesn't really bother me [since it doesn't negatively impact the gameplay in any way], I just felt the need to mention it.

It's funny you mention the Vita. I actually own that version too, despite not owning a Vita [yet]. I felt the need to support this title as much as I could, and I really wanted to have a portable version for when I do own a Vita.

Do you know if the slight sound "hiccup" is there in the PS4 version as well? I'll be purchasing a PS4 console next month, and have already decided to purchase the PS4 version as well [I know, I'm actually triple-dipping on this one!]. I'm not sure if the port from PS3 --> PS4 fixed the issue, but even if it didn't, it will not stop my purchase!

Nice job on the translation, by the way. Even the manual was interesting to read, and so far the dialogue in-game has been amazing. I'm really loving what you and your team did.

No, the PS4 version runs smooth as butter all the way around. No framerate skips, no audio skips... no performance hits of any kind. It's quite lovely. ;)

I've tried that too, and no luck.

This is really frustrating. It's literally the last battle of this string of sidequests, and I just want to get it over with.

Got Tohko's True End first try last night, I was surprised. When it comes to multiple endings, my choices always end up in me getting exactly the opposite of what I was aiming for. The game was short but sweet, and it really does promote replayability in order to see all of the endings. Time to go for the other ones now!

If I'm in Europe what's the best version of this to get? Get the PS3 or Vita version this year, or wait for next year's PS4 version?

So, this Silent Mode 3 mission is officially driving me batty.

The last fight won't trigger anywhere. I'm not sure if this is a glitch or not, or if I'm just having very bad luck.

If anyone has completed the Silent Mode 3 side mission, can you please confirm it here, and tell me who's route you did it on? I might just have to abandon it for now and try again on another playthrough. (I'm playing Shion's route currently.)

Thank you very much. Seems promising.

I would say it goes in line with what Tom said before, to see all endings you'll spend around 20 or so hours. I'm actually glad it is like this, although I love the game's quirkiness, there is also a lot of other stuff coming up that would make it hard to juggle. All in all, it's the perfect length. If you want more out if the game you can always do the side content.

This is exactly how I feel.

Play through once, have fun. Take a small break, play something else, and then go back to Akiba's Strip 2 to replay it for another ending/more Trophies. Rinse/Repeat until I see it all. The way DLC is staggered too means I'll always have something new to check out for subsequent replays.

I look forward to it.

I had this exact problem last night. Eventually, they appeared in UD+ right near the entrance.

& holy crap, do I need to save the S-rank arena fight (police force are ANNOYING) & idol dis@ster 2 for an easier playthrough, because Shizuku just is unable to last very long, even with the fact I upgraded her clothes to 150 & weapon to 200. & WHY DOES NOBODY GET HIT WHEN I AIM FOR THEIR HAT OR RIBBON. That's easily the most frustrating part of the idol 2 sidequest. Also screw enemies that juggle you in the air & destroy an article of clothing completely while doing so.

Pretty much. Plus the side missions and collecting things is a lot of fun. So I plan on going back and playing it until I get all the endings. I'm already at 15 hours with 2 of the 4 true endings and I haven't even had a play through where I did 100% of the side missions and little sister missions.

I really love the replayability with this game because the gameplay itself is a blast, so you can just pick it up whenever and dive back in.

Hmmm, I think doing Unison Strips on bosses makes it so you don't get their special cutscene. I'll have to test this out on a second playthrough.

Also wish there was some way to get underwear aside from getting a large enough strip chain.

So how do you take the enemies clothing without destroying it? Do a strip move before the piece changes color? I don't think I've seen that referenced anywhere.

Your strip skills need to be at 100%. For most of the normal rank skills, you can buy guide books that boost it around 7% for each. Otherwise, just keep stripping and build up your xp. You can check your skill percentages on the status page.

Yeah, the game will tell you once you've leveled up a specific clothing part or style (i.e t-shirt, skirt, headgear, pants, lolita, etc.) to 100%, to which it'll never tear when you remove them.

& got the Shizuku ending. Now to see if I should try it on the new difficulty or go for Normal/Casual and get another route done along with getting the arena taken care of.

........still wish I could figure out what store it is that I need to visit in order to get the trophy for buying an item from every store.

There's a book store hidden at the far corner of Akihabara Park that I missed at first which turned out to be the one I missed. It's a giant building across the street that you can't just walk up to.

Also, here's the review I penned if you would like to add it to the OP. I didnt post it sooner since I didn't know if self advertising was allowed.

Seems some of these missions are a bit odd for me. Forgot the name of a mission, but it was one where someone tweeted about an offline meeting, and suddenly there was a group that the girl wanted to be dispursed so that she could go home. Supposedly takes place in Electric City Plaza (or Center), and.... I wasn't sure what to look for.

I skipped it because I couldn't find what I was suppose to do there. Seems finding my objectives is a bit difficult for me. Also not sure why I started on Gamer given how everything hits like a truck, and I'm not seeing too big of a increase on attacks really (not really sure what leveling helps with either).

Still enjoying this game despite all this. Will definitely pick up the PS4 version as well.
