Akiba's Trip: Undead and Undressed |OT| No shoes, no shirt, all fanservice!

So, I am finding the NPC police to be a real downer on my stripping antics.

Especially since they can easily become accidentally get hit and then they attack me with their overleveled attacks ._.

They don't even have to get hit to get involved.

I could be dealing with an actual vampire and the police would still blow their whistles and start shit.
Getting tougher though, I expect to take the fight to them before too much longer.

Yeah, police suck because they have an insane amount of defense, so I only deal about 4 damage when I'm normally doing about 80-100.

Anyone have a full map of Akihabara? I had no idea of the park & such until I had to do a side-quest involving checking that area out for delinquents and realized one of the paths I could take lead me there.

& seems like aluminum bat is one of the best weapons in the game, judging from other posts. Maybe I should go back & get that upgraded, as I previously was using a monitor then +1 combat gloves.

So do you create your own character or how does that work? Do you get to pick gender?

There is limited character creation, and you can assign your character one of many female character models after you've unlocked them (as well as alternate voices), but you're always regarded as a 17-year-old male by the story, no matter how you look or sound.

You can only name him at first & wear male clothing, then during one side mission, you unlock the ability to wear female clothing (which actually allowed me to double the HP for my legs by switching to an idol skirt). I think I recall someone stating that once you beat the game, you can switch character models, which I guess could fall under "choosing gender". It wouldn't be an original character & it doesn't change the script in any way, though.

Edit: Yeah, what Tom said above.

Even with a +999 Godlike Bat, I'm still dealing miniscule amounts of damage to police but they really don't have much HP. Once you get them down below 50%, just do a force strip (the tug-of-war mashing sequence dunno what else you'd call it) and they go down in a couple of seconds. Or use your unison strip.

Well I guess if you can dress, sound and look female that's close enough. Thanks for the info. It's a postgame unlock though? Are female clothing options limited due to the MC being a dude?

From what's been said in this thread, I believe you unlock the ability to wear female clothes later on.

No, female clothing options seems pretty on par with males. I think I only been gaining less of them since I been stripping more males than females, lol

I suppose it does make sense to tie that to the stripping mechanic. Thinking I'll grab this on PS4. Woulda preferred character options from the get go but what can you do.

I neglected to mention that you can buy male and female clothing too from one of the many stores. So with enough money, that's an option too.

My impressions ( PS3 version )
in casual mode , it's not very hard but i've already got a couple of game overs.

Game so far is ok, i'm really enjoying it. my real complain is teh responsiveness of the controls.. it feels kinda slugish but nothing game breaking or something you can't get used to.
I did have a little bug where i couldn't get in battle position even when i was attacked.

So far so good.

I kinda wish i could participate in alll thos forom conversation before the thread get close ( like in the hack games ) and i kinda wish the pS3 would load character models faster ( because sometimes i'm looking for an NPC at the right place but the console hasn't load it yet.
I expect all those issue to be fixed by the PS4 version.

Well, I cracked. I was just going to wait for the PS4 version but all these positive impressions made me just get it on PS3. So far I do not regret my decision, the game is great. I will still get the PS4 version though, I will probably go for a platinum trophy on that one.

Beat Touhko's route, and got the Little Sister bonus ending.

Her missions were very heartwarming, including my personal intervention during the last one.

Best character to the end!

And DAMN, I upgraded the hell out of the metal bat, and it kicks major ass.

The game just came in today but I am sitting at work. I will try the game when I get home tonight. Meanwhile, while I work, I have the girls of ffx-2 hd collecting AP for the dress spheres. :D

Hmm, I think I might use that just to compare the in-game location. But I meant more of an in-game map, as I had no idea you could enter Yodobashi Area or Akihabara Park until I did a side-mission requiring me to check those locations.

Clothes unlocks are permanent not something I lose in ng+ right?
Correct. Really, the only thing lost in NG+ or when you leave the game via train station is story & side-mission progress. You keep your level, money, & items, along with anything in the Encyclopedia.

Finished the A rank in the battle arena.
Lost my shirt in the process. =/
Gonna head to a shop and load up on fist weapons. Gonna do some heavy synthesizing.

Do partners level up at all? I lost mine in the first fight of that round, she's really lagging.

So I just completed the cosplay main mission and unlocked the ability to change Tohko, Shizuki and Kati's clothes, but does anyone know if I'm able to get their Striprism cosplay outfits unlocked so they can wear them again? I thought they were pretty cool :p

You unlock that ability later. ;)

Actually, until that side mission, you WEREN'T able to enter the Yodobashi Camera Area or Akihabara Park. If you'd tried earlier, it would've just knocked you back to the Akiba map.

The game's got a couple points where it opens up a little bit, allowing you access to areas you previously couldn't travel to, but the Yodobashi and Akiba Park unlock is the last of those.

Just did the "somebody stop my mom" side mission

I'll never forgive anyone involved in the creation of this mission

Hmmm, I could have sworn I visited all the shops & bought at least one item when I accessed those two areas, but the trophy didn't appear. Unless I unlock more shops later on.

& haha, wow, that side-mission where you gotta fight 48 idols. So many extra kitty mittens, toy hammers, & idol clothes. So glad I upgraded my aluminum bat before the mission.

I really need to find a metal bat, I'm still wrecking shit with a Maid sign.

Really enjoying it so far, will definitely double dip the PS4 version.

New Game + you get
an over powered weapon. Kind of negating the need to get any other weapon. Unless you want to change it up for different fighting styles.
I would suggest on your first play through to do all side missions and take your time. Because on new game +
it will be more like a speed run as your weapon/stats are insanely powerful. And so things like needing to collect weapons to get stronger or get by, isn't as important.

Didn't post anything plot specific, just talked about features you get after new game + (I know some folks don't want to know that until they experience it. So spoiler tagged out of courtesy).

Goddamn I'm loving this game. Didn't expect much outside of a few good laughs here and there but damn. Combat is pretty fun and dialog is great. Side missions are what really kills me though. Goddamn they're funny

HAH. So I unlocked the fight style of "Old Comic That's Supposed to be Good" & attacking the head is
Fist of the North Star (poking the thumbs into the neck)
, the body is
DBZ's Kamehameha
& the legs result in
SHORYUKEN!
. Perhaps my favorite one so far.

What's this
"overpowered weapon"
? I didn't get any special weapon for beating the game though I somehow didn't get to pick up
Soga's weapon
, is that what you're talking about?

Nice, my PS3 and Vita versions arrived today [via Best Buy]!

It looks like I'll be completing Tales of Xillia later tonight and, hopefully, starting this right away. I can't wait.

Sorry for the late reply. But yeah, it's
Soga's sword. After he dies, quickly pick it up. In new game + his sword has the blue fire coming off it and it does 300 + damage by default. If you beat the game each time, you get it again. And can keep combining the swords too make them even more OP on top fusing them with other weapons. My Soga sword does 1k damage per hit. The real reason it's OP is the way it attacks, it does an insane amount of slashes, up to like 6 quick jabs instantly.

RE: Police

They have super high defense, but a very low tolerance against stripping. So once you soften them up a bit, their clothes rip off super easy.

Anyway, I'm enjoying this game more than I imagined I would. The battle system is so much fun! It's too bad the game has all the loading and framerate issues, because if it ran smoothly, it would really be godtier. I'm hoping the PS4 version can deliver this.

Yeah was going to say. Even if you are only doing 6 damage per hit on them, after roughing them up a little bit, their clothes come off really quick! At least, they did in new game +. Didn't try this on my first run through.

I think it's less their high defense and more like the 400something damage they do if they smack me that I'm more worried about.

Hmmm, so I got
Zenya's
weapon after defeating him. Considering I've got my alm. bat at 233 attack, is it worth leveling that other weapon up? I'll probably level up the clothing I got, just so I can get out of the military outfit.

Uh I don't want to spoil anything for you (it's not plot) but...
you will get another weapon that is 230 + attack pretty soon that has a wicked attack. So I dunno. Might be better to just wait for that, then fuse THAT with ur bat and other weapons, as its attacks are better than the bat.

Zonic

Ah okay, so just wait for the weapon you were walking about earlier. Alright, then. I really only have to get one more (?) fight in at the arena plus the fight against the owner and that should it for the arena. Guess I'll just stick with leveling my bat up.

Got it on vita! Just starting and looking forward to it, hope to get my head around the combat. Playing with Japanese voice and English text, just feels right

Edit: bought the Asian version, am I going to be able to use the upcoming free DLC from the US store? I'm expecting the answer will be no.

Why can't I use touch on the smartphone interface? Weird using the d-pad

Jesus this
iDOL dIS 2
quest is kicking me in the nads. Tohko gets taken out far too quickly for her to help take a few of them off me

Another instance of the sound cutting out. When I met
Rin at the shrine
, her dialogue wasn't voiced. But I paused the game, and when I unpaused, it started again.

Weird.

Wow, where the hell do I get a light blue maid outfit for a side quest? Doesn't give me any hints or anything as to where to get one. I recall getting one before from the cafe, but I don't have it anymore....
