Oh hey, finally unlocked the ability to wear female clothing (now to see when I can change my partner's clothes). & holy crap at these choices for this side-mission. "Don't make me hang you off a bridge by your balls". This script is hilarious.

FINALLY finished up S rank at the arena. I swear, getting juggled by double drills all day long is no fun at all. Now I only wish I got the underwear from the final round. It's totally a
set of striprism colored pasties and censorship tape.

Any recommended levels for the different ranks? I tried Rank D at about level 15 & lost on the first fight.

Holy CRAP did the game decide to spike in difficulty with this side quest about taking a guy shopping around town. My partner gets defeated early on, so I'm left fighting about 6 tough guys with little room to recover or attack. Doesn't help the fact the camera is terrible when you go to one of the ends & it's stuck in that one angle.

Maybe it'd help if I switched from combat gloves to a bat or something. Edit: WOW did that help so much. Not to mention for some reason, my partner survived this time.

Eh, just brough it too. I've brough worse games.

Anyway, I'm looking for platinum. Is there any good guides to follow?

My drunken style stripping is too stronk.

Also somehow got an aluminum bat so I've been wrecking people lately.

The nicknames pretty much turn the brotagonist from "Who?" to "Oh my God it's the guy who rips everyone's clothes off. He's the greatest person alive and I want his body."
It's silly.

This got Japanese voices right?

Yes, the game has dual audio.

Ok, i started this game yesterday (vita version) and i have a question : Do the conversations matter ?

I'm mostly answering with comedic responses, but I don't want a bad ending or something. I'm still a couple of hours in so I'm willing to restart the game if that's the case.

For your partner that you're focusing on, yeah, you should try to answer seriously. I think you'll hear a chime indicating that you made a decision that levels up your relationship from time to time.

A tip I learned on another site, a great weapon to use is the aluminum bat, and a really easy way to make it stronger is to fuse it with microphones bought in the Radio Kaikan district.

Early decisions don't mean toooooo much, so if you're not toooooo far in, you should be fine.

I think I'm at the end...
Mission is called the Final Battle. Have to head to the Radio place to fight off the Dark Utopia.
But holy crap, I must have made all the wrong decisions. Because no one likes me, so I can't see me getting a paired ending.

Wait, this game has waifus?

New Game+ will help you combat that by giving clues for every decision in the game, if you so desire. ;)

I'm sure wyrdwad will answer your question. If its spoilery ie. plot specific just spoiler tag. Or else ill have new game + within the hour.
It's more of a personal experience question. I read on another forum that someone is having trouble getting the sister missions to trigger on NG+, and I want to know if anyone else is having that issue.

Edit: Random minor VA glitch, when you pick Shion to train with (after your first solo fight against
Zenya
), her first piece of dialogue isn't voiced. I'm using the English voice track BTW.

The
idoldis@ster
quest was pretty ridiculous in terms of frame drops because of all the enemies on-screen and getting juggled between all of them. I managed to complete it on my second try, though.

Yup, this game is definitely Way of the Otaku.

<3 Acquire

And thanks to XSEED for having the talent to bring this over in its current form. Fantastic localization.

Maaaan, the second one is just mean! I can't beat it at all. Might have to wait until NG+ to even try. My partner just gets knocked out so fast so they're not even any help at all!

Nana is the worst sister on EARTH

Fuck her stupid fucking cakes.

Gonna jostle her down 20 flights of stairs WTF

Can't get hit because this is a goddamned stupid fucking mission.
BULLSHIT
BULLSHIT

edit: I just ran away from the fights.

Never give up.
Never surrender.

Dammit.
I actually tried running away the first time but for whatever reason the brotag decided to draw his weapon again.
Naturally I assumed that forced encounters couldn't be ran away from.(???)

Not my fault. Swear to almighty.

At least it's over.
Go to hell Nana.
God damn I hope I don't somehow end up taking a bath with her wtf.

Haven't tried it myself, but I've heard one person say it works perfectly, and one other person say it works but has noticeable input lag that kind of cripples the experience. So... I dunno... I guess it works, but maybe not perfectly? ;)

It's something we'll have to play around with and put through its paces, for sure.

-Tom

Thanks. I'm not super-sensitive to input lag myself so it might not be an issue. I guess that RP also depends a lot on your environment, so the discrepancy between the two experiences could be attributable to that.

Trying to talk myself out of double-dipping PS4 and Vita. I guess it'll depend on how broke I am in October.

Whoa, I somehow beat the game. That was kinda fast. I didn't even realize I was on a specific girls' route until towards the end. I felt like it moved to end the game a bit tooooo quickly for my taste, but it was still a fun game!

I don't think I'm ready for Otaku Mode quite yet though, so I'll keep going. I didn't get any True Ends. :(

Just a heads up, to anyone that wants the Shion route....

There is one quest where you are given the option to go with Shizuku, Tohko, or by yourself. You have to go by yourself. On my second play through I made sure to do all my affection choices for Shion, but on that ONE quest, I picked Shizuku. And that was enough for me not to get her ending. So the entire run through was for nothing, and I ended up getting the same ending as my first play through. So I hope I can save someone else frm making the same mistake. Getting her ending depends 100% on this choice (that and, making sure you always pick her affection).

No one answered my very important question before: are there any luchidor/mexican wrestling masks? I desparately want to run around Akihabara with a Luchidor mask and black suit/tie

I didn't see any....

But I also have only played the game twice (the first time was more seriously, 2nd time was a speed run). I didn't go to every single store. I didn't see any enemies wearing a luchador mask though.

I was hoping someone else would answer, because I'm not really sure -- there are a lot of clothing items in this game, and there easily could be one that I'm forgetting about. ;) But to my knowledge, no, that is one type of headgear that's missing. Sorry!

キタ━━━(゜∀゜)━━━!!!!!,

My first impression after playing for 5 hours using Japan dub on PSVita.

Let's get the bad out first. FPS is unstable, especially during heavy fight, nothing really game breaking though.
NPC did not immediately spawn and the distance required for it to appear make finding NPC become harder than it should be.
The loading screen everytime you change area. Quick travel help make it bearable, but it still kinda annoying.
Collision problem, the weapon float in MC back, and sometime delay input. Basically, optimization is this game weakest aspect

Now that the bad get out of the way, let's get to the good part.
I always like dressing up main character in RPG. In this case, the game deliver. Every cloth and weapon that appear is usable by player as long you fulfill the prequisite. With great amount of clothing to choose (including underwear) you will enjoy changing your character costume to feed your need.

THe battle is simple. You choose high, medium, and low attack. When you have weaken the enemy cloth, you can strip them by holding the respective button. There's a different style when stripping the enemy, all to reduce the repetitiveness nature of the stripping. This is purely cosmetic only, but it sure is amusing seeing your character doing drunken fist style to strip his opponent.
Weapons are split into several category. Each weapon have a special attack on it's own and special effect. Using Labor 13, a rocket like weapon will trigger explosion. Beat your enemy using bio leek, and see colorful effect fill the screen.

The setting, Akihabara aka Akiba is without a doubt this game strongest point. it make the player feel like their stepping into AKiba. The commercial, the flyer, the residence, all of them is colorful enough, filled with reference to otaku culture.

Can't comment much on the story, but so far, i enjoy the comedy element and i'll give two thumb up for the localization effort, since Xseed inject various humor and meme in the dialogue and mission briefing. Special mention to Nana, the brotag little sister who in this localization call his brother in interesting way, like brotector, broski, or brocolli. It's a simple thing that make me chuckle.

Overall it's a very flawed game, i found it very enjoyable thanks to the localization, the costume, the setting, and waifu. I enjoy every moment in it, and the battle system is servicable. I recommend this game to those who enjoy otaku culture or those who enjoy a simple beat em up.

Sorry for all the grammar mistake :(

Try running around the fenced trees or other big pieces of level geometry. The enemy pathfinding in this is a little dodgy, so it gives you time to readjust your clothes and recover your stamina back up to full.

Woohoo, Aluminum bat drop from a random Synthister fight last night. It rocks! Time to get this puppy some upgrades!

I'm also seriously impressed with the soundtrack. Did they make an OST available for purchase anywhere? I would probably pick it up.

A quick eBay search showed that there was a preorder bonus that included an art book and OST but it didn't tell me which stores/countries got it.
