At least Versus XIII jumped generations and ended up on a completely new engine...KH3 just looks like KH2 with a GPU particle comb over....I have no idea why it's taking so long.

If we are going for more "distant" Disney properties I would have nothing against Star Wars being added in a small way but to keep the inclusion to a secret boss battle (like Kylo Ren), a piece of equipment (like a keychain) or a very symbolic, unobtrusive cammeo (like FF Moogles). Anything more than that wouldn't sit right with me.

Like, including Luke Skywalker in the game would be strange when you already have Mark Hamill voicing this guy.

All I know is I only played

KH1 - PS2
KH:CoM - GBA
KH2 - PS2

KH2 was....2006? 11-12 years means I've forgotten basically everything. I haven't played the other games. So I am going to be sorely behind in terms of understanding the story or what the hell is going on as apparently there is a meme out there that everyone is apparently Ansem or something.....which I hear is true.

Maybe once we get an actual release date and get closer someone will make a video that explains the story in some tangible and cohesive way that makes sense to those of us who couldn't be bothered to play 10 other spin-offs.

Well, most of those "Spin-off" are mainline. That's the problem with this saga. Don't get me wrong I never touched KH:COM before 2 so I know how it feels to not get where we come from, but if you really want to keep up with the story, you have to play them.

Still I'll say that there's only need to play 2, BBS and DDD at this moment if you want to be set up for Kh3 in the most basic way.


Regards the video, Gametrailers (Now Easy Allies) made a Timeline and a series of 5 videos about KH mystery. They're missing some of the events from KHX, but it's the best thing for those that don't want to play through the remasters.
