Wallpaper, please!

I'm using Beautiful Widgets w/LauncherPro. The skin is cyancashmere set to 0% bg opacity on the "Beautiful Smaller Home" Widget. :D The wallpaper comes with LP but I think a quick google image search of "bokeh" should yield some good results. :)

:lol I just ran out of batteries playing around with the recommended apps and widgets from here.

Couple q's now that I've got Loader and a few other things going:
-What is the best contact-page widget? I actually liked the default one OK but there doesn't seem to be a way to get it back (pls correct if wrong). Don't like the look of the loader+ one. A nice minimalistic one would be cool but I haven't found anything like that.
-Same question pretty much but for RSS feeds and the like.

Any search for Music Mod pulls up something called Beroxm. I also tried to install Music Mod from this link: here. Installation always fails. I just get Application was not Installed. :/

I think it might be 2.2 only right now, what are you running?

I just downloaded the update for Beautiful Widgets, and it is great, but I have force close issues whenever I try to set the widget to use geolocation... anyone else have this issue?

for people on cyanogenmod, does each update require you to "reformat" the phone. i just rooted and i have CM6 RC-2 installed on my droid, when the final version comes out, will i have to erase anything to get it?

you either unroot or you wait til a Dev makes a 2.2 rom for you to install or you just wait til CyanogenMod is updated with newer features.

Sometimes a full wipe is required on certain updates. His release notes usually let you know that. If you experience problems with a release a wipe and reflash is recommended first.

No, that's the homescreen replacement app Launcher Pro, and a widget called Beautiful Widgets with background opacity turned off. I think.

Dunno why the status bar isn't there, though.

I really like the little text dock icons in Stat Flow's screen. I grabbed them and think I just need to upsize them a bit for the Droid X -- I presume I can go into the PSD and just use a slightly larger font yes?

-Does anyone have any nice home screen (non-dock) icons that go with that set? Looking for basic stuff like gmail, vmail, etc. Most of the icon sets I've looked at clash really badly with that style.

-Also, any good lock-screen skinning apps that are compatible with loader? The default one on this phone at least is blllllleeeeh.

so i moved music mod to the sd card and i can't use widgets? i can just move it back, but anyone else with the problem?
I'm pretty sure the consensus is to never move apps with widgets to SD if you're using hte stock Froyo apps2sd method.

Yeah, widgets don't work very well with moving to sd cards because when you mount your phone to your computer the widgets will have to be manually re-added to the phone after.

yeah i knew about that, but the amount of time i mount my phone to my computer was worth saving some space, but oh well, had to actually uninstall and reinstall to get them back, and i'll just leave them alone

trying to set my launcher pro up and live in a 90% widget only home screens... people here have motivated me to make my phone look cool

Android, naturally. What other answer would you expect in an Android thread? :D Ask in the iPhone thread and they'll tell you that you should get an iPhone.

They're wrong.

No. Most devices out now won't come with the latest (Froyo). You should make sure that you get a device that's going to be upgraded to Froyo if it doesn't already come with it.

If you want to stick to t-mobile I would get the Samsung Vibrant. It runs 2.1 but will get 2.2 in September. Samsung is showing a lot of support for their Galaxy S line.

On Verizon you have Droid 2 coming out soon. Droid X and Droid Incredible. All of these are top of the line and will run 2.2 by mid August at least. It comes down to preference with these ones, they're on even grounds.

On Sprint you have the EVO, if you areor going to be in a 4G zone, its really nice.

On ATT I wouldn't recommend getting an Android phone, but the do have the Samsung Capacitive (Galaxy S line) and the iPhone.
