Do you get the number of unread messages/emails on you icon in the dock?

I have the option on, but I don't get the little number.

Also, anyone know where to get an icon set template, of the name of the app, like this :

So I can create a lot more.

eh, just stream it from your home computer, why upload and sync something?

Only for gmail. It doesn't work for the HTC Mail app.

The emulator app nesoid has a beautiful implementation, and of course it gives you a great idea of how a 2d platform can and should work with a wii remote. It is amazing, everyone I've showed it to has been floored and just wants to keep playing.

In terms of the streaming apps, I am using grooveshark and will likely stick to that because $10 a month is too much to pay since I already pay for zune. I wish MS was more like google and put their apps on other platforms more often. Zune on iphone and android would expand that service immensely.

Yep, works here. I used the LauncherPro icons in my dock. Not sure if that has anything to do with it however.

It's pretty all over the map. It's been instant, slightly delayed, very delayed and also occasionally never arrives.

The different colors are in the zip file and there is also a psd file included so you can make custom ones for yourself.
 
I tried out the TweekDeck beta, didn't really like it. Surprisingly, one of the issues I have with the app is the same as I have with their desktop version: No option to change font sizes, text is too damn big.

Ha, someone who agrees with me. I'm using it at the moment but I don't find it all that great. The Twitter and Friendstream widgets in Sense seem to be a much better solution if you only want Twitter and Facebook. I don't use the other two in Tweetdeck so I really don't find it that great.

While that is obviously a perfect choice for something like this, not everyone have a home computer we leave on all the time. Personally I only have my Dell laptop here that my wife and I share that I have zero reason to leave on since we are barely on it anyway.
 
any cool apps for accelorometer fun? i kinda like labyrinth and wouldnt mind playing with some milk/beer pouring apps :lol an oil/water with surfer app would be awesome

Ok, I fucking love this. I decided that instead of flashing a full ROM on my first go i'd just flash the radio firmware first. So I downloaded the latest build, flashed it, and now i'm actually getting reception in my basement. It's just one or two bars, but my basement is notorious for cutting off cell phones, including my Desire before I flashed it.
 
Does anyone know why when I voice search via the Google search widget it only searches maps and not the internet. I'm using an HTC hero 2.1

Is your language set to English(US). I found that when set to English(UK) I couldn't do anything but search the web. After changing it I can do everything as advertised in their video.

Is there any way to add 'task' from google calender (website) to the google calender app?

I can only add the 'calenders' but not the task list :(

I use Android Agenda Widget to track all of my calendars/tasks and Gtasks to add and modify my task lists.

The "oid" series of emulators run pretty much everything, but a few games have problems with in-game saves. Snesoid needs a lot of power to run games with add-on processors.

The PSX emulator is a little slow even on my 1.2Ghz Droid, but playable. I've only played Ace Combat 2 (only 3 missions left), so I'm not sure about compatibility.
 
OMFG I just tried playing a game with my Wii Remote... the future of gaming is this right here. My ODROID-S outputting to my TV via HDMI, and playing the game with the Wii Remote... phones are practically home consoles now. :lol

im looking at the marketplace, and the snesoid by yongzh...is that the best one?

I got my approval last week, I must say it felt a bit limiting in what it could achieve (so far)

For example, there is no listview, and you can only make single screen applications

EDIT: I know there was some discussion about this before, but I've just bought Launcher Pro Plus (amazing work by this guy) and am just looking into the ways of getting pictures working well with contacts when facebook is involved.
From his forum it seems like he has said that it is a facebook issue where 3rd party apps can't access the information... though what I'm wondering is, how does an app like handcent have access to the facebook pictures, if launcher pro can't?
 
Tried Google navigation for first time on a road trip from Denver to Austin.

Worked great, but 2 things I would change.


1. Voice options, woman sounds horrid.

2. Distance before next instruction. Sometime it would give me a heads up 2 miles before next step, other times only a .5 mile warning, and this is on highways. 2 mile should be standard on longer legs.

IMO, snesoid had pretty horrible sound emulation - or at least music anyway. Pitches were frequently flat and/or distorted. I'm on an EVO. otherwise it worked well.
 
I am about to hack an Aux input into my car, my tape deck adapter is going or my tape deck who knows as I have had all kinds of issues with my stereo. SO my question.


Is there anyway so that when you plug in the stereo jack you can set it so that the speaker phone mic is on?

You can with a third party app. I use Setting Profiles (appbrain link to lite version.

edit: Holy shit, I just read about Tasker! I think I will switch to this. It looks insane. :lol
