Whoa, I had no idea there was a video player like that. Amazing! It says Google has suspended the last two versions. Are they worth getting?womp said:Droid Comic Viewer

Yeah I dint have any issues when downloading directly from my phone. I think it used astro to install possibly. As long as you have that box selected to install unknown applications it should be fine.Ptaaty said:for those that don't know...it works best to just navigate with your phone to the link.
it seems the file gets a .zip extension when on a PC...

Tried. Spent countless hours and posts here and no go. Got new phone though so maybe that will be different.womp said:
Sports Tap.Owensboro said:Oh my! College Football season has started, and thus sent me scrambling for a better scores app then the stock Google one (It takes soooooo looooooong to update anything). What's the best app that everyone is using right now? Ideally I'd like to track the top 25 + 1 team, but I could get by with something that would track 5 specific teams.
Anyone got any advice?

Petrie said:So my phone used to get amazing battery life (original Droid), but now I've installed some things, and it seems like in particular when I go to battery usage the Android OS is using far more power than it should. Barely touching the phone I get 8 or 9 hours before it hits 15% power, I'm hoping there's a way to sorta get a clean slate without losing all my apps and such. I've been told they autodownload, but last time I wiped my memory that was not the case.
Any help or advice is appreciated.

Is there anyone who has a minute or two to go through this with me off here? I have MyTouch 3G.
dark10x said:I just tried a multiplayer game of Raging Thunder II between my iPhone and my friends Galaxy S phone. Very cool to see cross platform internet play.
One thing that baffled me, however, is the response of the accelerometer. My buddy kept complaining that the game was impossible to play while I was having no issues. So we traded devices for a race and, lo and behold, he was a right. There is a huge amount of lag in the Android version (turn the device and the car will not react for at least a full second).
I suppose the question then is this: was this a design issue on the part of the game developer? Do the Galaxy S phones simply have poor accelerometer hardware? Do other Android phones have this issue with RTII?
Also, the iPhone version was not yet updated for the iPhone4 display (making it ugly), but I was surprised that the Android version was also low resolution. Considering that most Android devices feature reasonably high resolution devices, this left me baffled. Is this common with 3D Android games?
Screen was super nice on the Samsung phone, though. Not as sharp as the iPhone4 display, of course, but it had fantastic black levels (blacks which appear completely black). Very very cool!

Can in anyone in the UK see it yet? Maybe the UK market hasnt updated yet for some reason
radioheadrule83 said:Sounds like something he might not be overly bothered with right now - onPause save game state, onResume load game state... it might be easier than getting it to work with all the various devices, which I would imagine being the priority. Already some comments coming in that it doesn't work right on some phones.

the problem is it keeps promptin gme... it wouldnt be a big deal if i could get that to go awaytabsina said:the advice i got (though I have a HTC Desire) was to not update through OTA methods, once I had rooted, though if noone can help you out for specifically the droid x, you might consider asking at xda in the droid x forums
Most custom ROMs will block OTA updates. My prior Droid which my wife now owns prompted her for the updates, she accepted, and it rebooted into recovery where it gave a 'install aborted' message and upon booting she still has root.punkypine said:the problem is it keeps promptin gme... it wouldnt be a big deal if i could get that to go away
