Whats the secret to the Golden Eggs?abstract alien said:I just figured out the deal behind finding the golden eggs. I could slap myself for not noticing that :lol
The ads now being at the top of the screen instead of the bottom suck hard though. We need the paid version pronto, as it has messed up a few of my games since I couldn't see the damn bird.
Well, as simple as it is, I never noticed it until last night, but...Epix said:Whats the secret to the Golden Eggs?

Looks like they just unleashed these out, I got it too. Ad notifications, seriously? That's terrible...Futureman said:I have a Droid X on Verizon and just got the same thing. I'm fairly certain that today is exactly one month since I got my phone, so maybe that's why it was pushed out.
It's not for Microsoft though, it was asking me to upgrade to the pay version of "Quickoffice." It looks like there's a $9.99 version on the market, not sure if what Verizon preinstalls is a trial version or a lite free version. I use it to look at PDFs though.

My stock captivate browser did not do gifs as well, first time for me.CurlySaysX said:I recently updated from 1.6 and every browser I tried lacked gifs. This is the first time i've noticed gif animations work on Android.

Futureman said:It's an Android app that's essentially a remote control for YouTube on a computer.
What are the best sites to check daily for Android news? I mean, I always check Engadget, but I want something specifically geared to Android news.

This works pretty well, and kind of addictive, actually.SimleuqiR said:A Youtube Leanback remote app hit the market;

Also makes me wonder the long-term viability of Google TV (as far as requiring dedicated GTV specific hardware) - with this kind of setup, I could just as easily hook up a standard PC/laptop running Chrome browser and control it via an Android device remote like this...why not?

Not really a fix but I have a shortcut to a neogaf.com and you could probably do the same with google to instantly load into that. Not exactly what you want, but works. After messing around with Opera (to the best I can), I really like it. Wish I could find a way to setup my start paget though (want google, not the opera page).
There's a setting for how many podcasts it will store at a time, but a single universal value for all podcasts. So if you tell it to store 10 podcasts and you have 10 different podcasts you like to follow, you're obviously not likely to have more than 1 episode store locally for each one. If you haven't already done this, go to the Listen home screen, bring up the menu, go to settings and look for the storage settings. You might just need to increase the number of episodes it stores locally.Ashsturm said:Am I using Listen incorrectly or can it not store more than 1 podcast at a time? Every time I go to change show it needs to buffer or redownload it even if the podcast had been d/l'ed previously

Well, the incoming messages would have already been timestamped by the phone that sent them, so they're fine since the other phone obviously adjusted to the time change correctly.Jeramii said:hey anyone know wtf is with my evo and the switch for daylight savings.
...
do you get what i'm saying. so its sorting the messages in this weird order because it registers daylight saving for outgoing, but not incoming?

Is your phone showing the correct time on the status bar?

There have been a couple of screens, but they're of the system info screen or the home screen, both of which look pretty much like Froyo. The only thing that's known right now is softer borders on windows and a green tint on some menus/icons, like the home screen dock.Epix said:With Gingerbread rumored to be just around the corner has any videos or screenshots of 2.3 been leaked or released? Has anyone seen what this thing looks like or seen a hands on?
That's too bad. I'd like to go back to stock to not rely on updated cyanogen mod releases for firmware updates. I think I'm still on 2.2, but not the 2.2.1 and I know I would be lagging on the Gingerbread release waiting for the latest final build of the custom ROM.kaching said:Support for it is not nearly good enough yet to compensate for the N1's low internal storage. At least not amongst the apps I've tried/used.
This is so clutch. I was actually using the standard keyboard a lot this weekend because I was doing a lot of voice texting.gcubed said:swype beta update just released to those in the beta... has voice to text button... FINALLY! And its pushing a whopping 10mb now.![]()

Noshino said:The only thing that Opera Mobile has going for it is the speed, oh and the fact that it supports gifs.
There is something weird about the way it load pages, can't really tell what it is though. Aside from that, not only does it still not support flash, but the video player that it uses is pure crap, specially for youtube videos, why use their own player instead of the fraeking youtube one?

Does the Google Talk app use push? I'm worried it's a drain on the battery.
