Is anyone else having the text message alert bug where it randomly shows the "new text" icon at the top, even though there aren't any new texts?
Open your latest text and tap on the newest Message. That used to work on my droid 1.Cocopjojo said:Is anyone else having the text message alert bug where it randomly shows the "new text" icon at the top, even though there aren't any new texts?
Yeah I can make it go away no problem but it happens all the time and I can't ever tell if I really have a new text or if it's just a glitch. I glance at my phone all the time to see if I need to check it and it's annoying to unlock the keylock and go into my texts just to find out that it's a glitch.RJNavarrete said:Open your latest text and tap on the newest Message. No, it's definitely a glitch. What's worse is that sometimes the "new text" symbol will appear and disappear at random in a short amount of time. Like, I'll just sit there and stare at my phone and watch the symbol appear... and then go away... and then appear again... and then go away. It happens a lot right after I read a new text. I'll open the new text, read it, and then watch the symbol appear and disappear a few times at the top of the screen.zoku88 said:You sure you dont have any old unread texts that were never marked read?

I installed that free Gameloft game from a few days ago, and now all of its sound files are showing up in my music library. :/
Nice, thanks.sableholic said:create a .nomedia file in the folder.

:Motorbass said:So, uh I am new to Android with my Flipout and having problems with dropbox. I think it is the easiest way to transfer single files of all sorts. But when I put an MP3 on a PC into the Dropbox and view it on my mobile, I cannot get it to show up in the media library (same with image files). I can select and listen to it (or view it) directly from dropbox but only there. I have an app that lets you copy the files to SD and they are there but still not visible in the media library. The only way to bring them up is to connect via usb and launch that sync stuff. Then the phone recognizes that there is music on the SD. Is there an app for local syncing or what could I do?

I'm still peeved at HTC for not bringing 2.2 to the Hero if the bloody Wildfire is gonna get it eventuallyjosephdebono said:Or for my HTC Hero. Lol. :'(

*sigh* Stuck on 2.1.
How is that disappointing? It's a generation upgrade to the Nexus One, and while it isn't a huge upgrade, it is still a nice one for less than a year out from the N1 release.Bboy AJ said:Nexus One owner and haven't received 2.3 yet.
The Nexus S is disappointing as fuck. It's basically the same thing as a Galaxy S, except vanilla.
Thank you so much!! sdrescan wasn't available for my phone, but BeRo File Manager was, which includes the functionality. Yay!FiRez said:I had this same problem, I even use dropbox to copy my media, search for sdrescan in the market, this app forces a rescan of the media service and the new songs and pictures will appear.
btw does anyone have a milestone? I have a problem with the calibration of my battery suddenly it will jump 20% or 30% while charging in just a few seconds, the usual re-calibration method doesn't work with this phone since it will turn on automatically when I plug the charger
Futureman said:We've kinda known for awhile what was coming in 2.3. No real surprises, though I want to hear more about the native VoIP/SIP calling.
Google has been decoupling certain apps from the OS updates unlike Apple. They actually could have made this a massive update if they did it the Apple way. Just in the past month, we've had a huge YouTube app refresh, Maps update, Google Reader came out last week and today Google Books was released.
If they would have rolled that all into 2.3, this would have seemed like a much larger update.
