Sid Miers Macross would be amazing.
Macross as a space dogfighting game, developed by Bungie.
The unique qualities of an ip like an anime lies in it's expression rather than plot/story. If western studios just want to borrow stories, I don't see the point of doing it as an "adaption"(outside of marketing). They could just copy and change things they'd change anyway and still be in the clear of copyright laws. What is the point of using the ip if you are completely changing it anyway? And that's a bad thing? If the adaptation is exactly like the source material it becomes pointless. The whole point of adaptation is to offer fresh pespective on beloved material.
Also..in some cases even pure westernization could work wonders.Currently too much of anime is filled with absolutely shitty fanservice and moe nonsense all of those would be cut out in western adaptaion.

It's one of the reasons I hate the idea of an Akira movie set in New York. It dilutes and ruins the original vision while constraining the adaption needlessly. Just make a 20 years later sequel to Chronicle instead, I'm positive that if the production was put in the same able hands the latter would result in a much better film.
It's probably set in New York because they didn't want to use Asian actors.
Oh hell no, that's assuming you could have someone like Ancel leading the project, and even that wouldn't work out. If there were some good Italian developers up to the challenge, though, a point-and-click adventure adaptation would already be in the making.Ubisoft using the UbiArt engine to make a cartoony 2D Lupin III stealth-platformer could turn out pretty cool.
Would be interesting to see a western take on Perfect Blue.Giallonime!
Mind blown. Not quite what I had in mind, but the similarities never dawned on me before.we already have The Black Swan.

Coincidentally, Perfect Blue was an influence for Aronofsky when making Requiem for a Dream (namely,we already have The Black Swan.
Not just FMA, I think the only good anime games I've played were all published by NamcoBandai and even then, those tended to be hit or miss with me.
The CC2 guys in particular, set a higher standard with their Naruto and .Hack games.
None. Seriously, not a single damn license they wouldn't fuck up.
Cowboy Bebop - Naughty Dog
NOT. A WESTERN. DEVELOPER!
I like Platinum a lot too, but they are from Japan!
cromartie highschool by valve
Legend of the motherfucking Galactic Heroes RTS
Hellsing would make a fantastic action/shooter game. Something like Dirge of Cerberus meets Bayonetta meets Dark Souls.

Ninja Theory should do all of them.
Just to see the internet reactions.
Well when you put it that way I want to see it happen just out of sheer curiosity... My edit in the last post probably isn't even 1/100th as crazy as these two would get
Also seeing your avatar is there any dev on this planet that could manage to handle TTGL? I think not even four Titan Z's in Quad-SLI could handle the true scale if you know what I mean...
I dunno if I like this thread
because I always think CAPCOM or NAMCO should do all of them
COD:AW or Crysis 2 Mechanics wise ......will/already have you covered. All You Need is Kill
Really he is all you need. Get any good dev team and have him do the story and don't string him out to three games to have him do what he can do in one. Madoka Magica fans will understand what I mean. He was held back the first two Madoka flims.... I swear he was.I would just love to see Gen Urobuchi write for a Triple A title.
Rockstar - Cowboy Bebop and Baccano!
Naughty Dog - Black Lagoon and Trigun
Sucker Punch - Darker Than Black
