Squirrel Girl needs her current comic to make her legit. Funny, smart, heart warming. Her current book is everything everything the character needs.
It's true. Even In Al Ewing's New Avengers he has nothing to do for her. She's a non entity. It's the creative team of her solo book that makes her work.
MCU is really becoming something else huh?
From Jessica Jones to Squirrel Girl ... that's quite the jump
Man I just have the most perfect image of her with some squirrel friends confronting cgi evil purple Josh Brolin and i can't get it out of my head i need it to happen in my life
Illuminati was too good for this world, or otherwise it'd be on everyone's lists. RIP old friend. RIP.She's a really awesome cartoonist. Her inks look fantastic. Not super wild about the books colors.
Luke Cage & Iron Fist
Black Widow
Squirrel Girl
Black Panther
?
My top list looks something like that. Throw Gwenpool and Howard The Duck in there as well.
That's a rapist
Like, the argument I'd make is that she's the equivalent of Deadpool on Remender's Uncanny X-Force. The "heart" of the team, so to speak. The one that keeps everyone grounded. Problem is when you have characters like Clint on the team. No one on the team is fucked up enough that Doreen works on that level. Hell, Victor and Ava are more grounded than she is. Songbird is more grounded. I have no problem with her, but I also have no interest in her. The only book I'm reading that has her in it is New Avengers and I can say for sure she isn't one of the main reasons I enjoy that book (it's a fucking dope ass book). That said, I'll still pick up U.S.Avengers.Even In Al Ewing's New Avengers he has nothing to do for her.
K. This means it can't be a good movie... why?

shes a joke character thats somehow unknowingly defeated two of marvels powerhouses. then put her on teams where shes supposed to be a grounded character. that would be like bringing in the girl from the worst xmen and having her play straight up despite knowing she has god like power. theres a lot of things within the spectrum of " its comics, we dont have to explain shit" but most of the time they at least try to explain the crazy shit that happens. with often bs rationale, but still, reasons. im not off of her having her own book, but she doesnt mesh well with the rest of the 616.
Just like Ant Man! And that worked out so poorly after all I can see why you came to this conclusion.
You're being sarcastic correct
Anything Anna wants to do is fine with me
I think it would be best to have another set of shows that primarily only deal with one another like Squirrel Girl & Howard The Duck.
Variety is the spice of life, and to get more people involved in the MCU is a good thing. Let there be a show or a movie for everyone.
Squirrel Girls very first appearance has her chumping Iron Man and Doctor Doom "on camera" if your only actual complaint is you didn't get to see it happen or how she did it.

most characters with massive powers have massive hangups as to why they cant do things. as bs as it is, theres rationales behind them. theres no such thing with her. they happened, but thats the end of it. no rhyme or reason, it just is. but why? its like the original sin arc with thor. a few words, and hes unworthy, but noone knows why, and it pisses people off. any reason explaining other than "it happened" and "she bested them" thats a non answer, and with her being a joke character something that i wouldnt question. but putting in the middle of things makes her suspect to things that happen around her. and noone seems to be asking why or how. its spock shit all over again(not that bad, but up there)
Damn Squirrel Girl sales worse than Carol...I said goddamn.
Lasst time Squirrel Girl was written well
Oh come the fuck on.
Fine, you hate Captain Marvel. But how can you possibly hate Unbeatable Squirrel Girl?

She looks the part, but I am not sure about her comedy acting because ... well =P
People still mad that she's canonically defeated both Dr Doom and Thanos. And also Darkseid. Dr. Manhattan. Popeye. Felix the Cat. Judge Dredd. Hellboy. Each of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, individually. Scrooge McDuck. Lying Cat. Scott Pilgrim. Fone Bone and Smiley Bone (but not Phoney Bone). The chick from Ghost World. V. Miracleman. Jughead. Tintin and Captain Haddock. Rick Grimes. Asterix under the influence of magic potion prepared by the druid Getafix. Dream. Spider Jerusalem. Yorick. Tank Girl. And of course, infamously, both Lone Wolf and Cub.
Some people think she's OP, but I'm ok with it.
Barrowman should play every MCU character. The only acceptable choice
Squirrel Girl is awesome. Bring her on.
I would absolutely lose it if she popped up in an Avengers film and just confused the hell out of everyone.
And her book is awesome. Read it. Mole Man sinking landmarks to blackmail her into a date is an example of one of her less bizarre adventures.
It's amazing after friggin' Deadpool, which was a real loose adaptation of his source, that people are wondering whether SG can work in the MCU.
The very fact it doesn't work is what they should focus on. It's what makes it unique.
meme without substance gets old fast. See why Lobo, and Ripclaw don't have books anymore
Kirsten Schaal or bust.

Yeah. A meme without substance won't last... But her book HAS substance.Sure, Squirrel Girl was a meme before she got her book, but North and Henderson have really of elevated her above that though. Her book is legit funny, has a great cast, and Doreen solves her problems in interesting ways. I don't really get all the hate it seems to get, it has a lot of heart.
