For me personally, I have the following which excludes timed console exclusievs as I consider all of them to be multi-platform titles -
XBOX SERIES X
- Crossfire X (campaign)
- Gears Tactics
- Halo Infinite
- Ori and the Will of the Wisps
- Second Extinction
- The Ascent
PLAYSTATION 5
- Spider Man: Miles Morales
I am expecting Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart in Spring 2020 but even then, to buy a PlayStation 5 at launch knowing it's going to sit there collecting dust while I play my Series X just makes no sense to me. I figure by the time Sony releases PlayStation 5 Pro, I should have at least 5 exclusives that I want to play.
Timed exclusive wise, the vast majority of them on both consoles don't interest me at all and the few that do like The Medium is on Game Pass which is great because if I don't like it, I can drop it with no monetary loss whatsoever and move on to my next game. On the PlayStation 5 side, I am very interested in Godfall but seeing as how it's going to be a live service game, I would much rather wait the year for it to release on Series X and see how it all played out plus im sure I'll get extra goodies that PlayStation 5 owners will have to pay for. Project Athia is a timed console exclusive but it's Square Enix which means that it could be 10 years away. LOL. Only other timed exclusive is Kena which I'll wait for especially since this game seems like a perfect fit for Game Pass.
Can't wait for November!!! Wish it was here already!!!
In general, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 will have the best overall launch lineups in gaming history. Exclusives may be a little underwhelming but the entire year has been underwhelming. At this point, I just want them to be released and I'll be a happy gamer.
