I'm on Windows.

Will it wipe my phone?

You can do everything but sync afterwards for the next week or so until iTunes 11.1 is available on Windows. It won't wipe your phone so long as you choose to update to iOS 7 and not restore to it.

It should be smooth...it's the GM, the version that'll be released to the public.

Not saying they don't, but generally they should be smooth. You mentioned "it's definitely more stable than any of the betas" - well, yeah, that's kind of the point, right?

1) No it will not wipe your phone. It worked like any update. Downloads and reboots. It kept all my settings and whatnot. Just had to answer a couple questions once you start it up with the new OS.
2) Hmm, not sure since you won't be able to sync with iTunes once you upgrade since the beta version is not available for Windows.

1429 is CDMA/ worldwide(except for US) GSM so you're safe.

Didn't know it worked with update, always thought it was just restore since it is a restore file you're loading.

I did it with update and it worked fine with my iPhone 5. I had the beta on it before.

Nah, works with either. Better to use update so you don't have to reload all your content again. Still it's advisable to back everything up in case the update messes up the phone.

Have you tried the "restore default settings" & a reboot? Might be a lie like the "safari feels snappier" stuff, but I've heard it's sorted glitches on upgrades. My 4s is running it ok since beta 6. Feels pretty decent to me. Some apps like Evernote lag, but hey... They did for me in 6 on a 4s as well. Certainly not feeling any mass slowdown on 7GM

I've definitely lost responsiveness. It feels like it takes a second or two for swipes to register (making me have to swipe again). Scrolling definitely stutters.

Something must of crashed because I cant even swipe up or down for notifications or control centre.

Safari is really, really struggling, UI-wise, but browsing feels pretty fast.

yes. the GM is the same release being loaded onto Phones leaving factories now. it’s the release version

Not that GM installation isn't exciting, but what do people think about the possibiliy/inevitability of the iPad/ipad mini having 64-bit architecture and the fingerprint sensor in the next iteration?

people have upgraded in this thread (from iOS 6, I think). looks like it works fine. I was on the beta so I did a restore just out of a sense of paranoia.
