Yep. saw 2 hours remaining on my connection (25 down!) and said screw it. I'll grab it later.

Anyway I'm actually kinda surprised at the 64bit announcement. I figured that wasn't coming until at least next year. Any particular reason why now though..
 
Why is almost literally every device uploaded except the cdma ipad mini??? I'm waiting until the 18th to do my phone.
 
I updated my iphone. I restored from backup, plugged it into power while apps downloaded and it made a different noise when it got hooked up to power. gonna take me a little time to get used to some of these new sounds. I’ve been hearing the same plugged in” sound for 6 years now.
 
Probably common knowledge, but for those who haven't updated to iOS 7 yet, but plan on it, make sure to make a backup while still on iOS 6. Just in case anything happens to your phone in the next week and have to get it swapped out, since backups done on iOS 7 won't work with iOS 6. I had to get my phone replaced back when I was on Beta 2, and my iCloud backup wouldn't work, but luckily I still had an iOS 6 backup on iTunes.
 
Man I miss Steve Jobs. I'm skimming through the video of the event and everyone on stage sounds like a fucking marketer on the home shopping network.

Where is the excitement and real innovation? I'll be buying a 5S but I really hope they will have some brand new product categories and really mind blowing stuff soon for their sake.

If on Windows hold down the shift key (on mac hold down option) and then click on Check For Update on your phone's window in iTunes. Choose the file you downloaded. That's really all there is to it.

Yes, this is the gold master.
 
So just to be clear on installing iOS 7 for a Mac, are these the right steps I should take:

1) Back up my current iPhone data (duh)
2) Install iTunes 11.1 beta
3) Install iOS 7 GM

?

well yeah, buy youre updating your phone. the 4s link has been up for like an hour, but i only want to do my verizon ipad right now.. which is curiously MIA.
 
Am getting so impatient I'm considering upgrading my 4S, but I have nowhere to store 45gigs of photos and video.
 
there’s a bunch of new wallpapers since the last beta. they also have new dynamic wallpapers for the different coloured iphone 5Cs.

and there’s a fuckload of new tones and alert noises. and, yes, marimba and tritone are in the classic submenu
 
I abandoned that mega link and found a torrent on twitter for the 4s download. Also installed the itunes beta.
 
Before the copy.com link went down, the file in the folder marked "iPhone 5 GSM" was just called iPhone5,1_7.0_11A465_Restore.ipsw with no model number. Surely that means A1428, right?
 
Any good reason to upgrade when you are already on the latest non-gm beta? Doesn't really sounds like it's worth it if you can't connect your phone to iTunes afterwards. Or will the beta expire before public release?
 
I'm hearing reports of people syncing with the current version of iTunes. Is it YMMV at this point? Should I just get the iTunes beta to be safe?
