Are you going to buy PS4 Pro?

I already have a PS4, so no, I see no reason to upgrade.

People buying this who already have a ps4 are baffling to me, but I guess we all have different "treat yo self" thresholds.

No, I recently bought a PS4. Unless they're an exclusive I'll be playing most games on my high-end PC anyways, so the graphical update isn't as desirable to me.

Nope. Not unless I see an actual reason to do so at some point. If the games actually look any better I may buy one for $300 or so at some point but I doubt it.

NX and Scorpio are coming so why waste the money on a slightly upgraded PS4?

I'm not sure...

I'm serouisly not interested in 4K... like literally zero.

It all depends on FFXV performance... if there was a noticeable undeniable difference on 1080p between PS4 and Pro... then yes I will get the console day 1.

But if it wasn't that big of a difference then I'm sticking with my PS4 till PS5.

I rather spend that 400$ on something else.

*shakes hands with you in respect*

Don't have a 4K TV. Gaming improvements seem minor. Looks atrocious and huge. Don't see a good reason to upgrade from my original PS4.

Nope, maybe down the road if it proves to provide a decent bump in framerates and performance. Not betting on it.

The irony for me is this Playstation meeting sold me on an xbox one S if I decide to buy any of these mid gen releases.

Nope, this pretty much solidified my transition to PC gaming. I'll pickup Persona 5 and I'll keep up with the NX because Nintendo, but when we start talking about incremental upgrades and quality settings on a console...well it's entirely personal preference, but I'd much rather put that money into my PC.

I don't know. I don't have a 4K TV and I've already cancelled my PSVR pre-order. I might just wait it out a year or so until the price drops and there is enough other content to make a 4K worth it.

Getting the NX and have been interested in a new gaming PC for a while now. Might just take the money I was expecting to spend on the VR and Neo and put it towards a new rig.

Yes, just got a 4K tv a few months ago can't wait to plug the Pro up to it.

You're probably going to be disappointed. Is it even an HDR TV?

No 4K gaming, no 4K BluRay.

I mean, this presser felt like PR for the One S and Scorpio. The One S has real HDR and and UHD BluRay player, and Scorpio will be powerful enough to actually approach 4K gaming and VR

I guess if you have $400 to feel better about what is inside the box, despite it not really having a meaningful effect on what you see, then I guess it's not horrible.

Just because of the UHD BD? Because Pro actually makes the games themselves run better as it's 3x more powerful than original system, that's not what the S is for.

Yes.

Already pre-ordered, and it was mainly for the upgraded wifi. I was disgusted with Sony including 2.4ghz only in the OG PS4, and it has bugged me since launch. It will finally get out of my house.

The lack of UHD Blu Ray player is shocking, but luckily I already own a Xbox One S.

I have a PS4, so unless it dies I don't see any reason to, and other than that. I wasn't buying it anyway, so the reveal hasn't had any impact either way.

Im on the fence, i didnt saw a generation leap as i would tought, i was expecting watch dogs trailer from 2012 or star wars 1313 trailer kind of stuff, none of that happened so ill wait for the first games and impressions before i jump on, i just dont see enough difference for cash out , unless they add an option to deliver my ps4 and buy the new one for 200 dollars, yeah its not gonna happen.

Nope, I'm still not sure why Sony felt the need to do this now. They are in the lead, and this will add more work to developers are already struggling to get games out.

Is it really just to sell 4k TVs?

Just pre ordered it from Amazon UK.

I wanted a second PS4 anyway and the price is good considering the power increase. Should go nicely with my PSVR as well so looking forward to that.

Yes, I've already pre-ordered mine. The place I'm buying it from had it for 900$ before the announcement haha. That was a tad high.

Just need to buy a new TV as well, was going to do that either way.

NO.

I was going to buy if games got a boost to framerate buy it seems the focus of the Pro is on resolution and color range so....yeah whatever.

With BF1 and Final Fantasy XV being two of the first Pro-enhanced games, it's going to have to be a Day 1. I would have waited until Horizon came out otherwise.

Sold my PS4 during rumors of neo. Really thought I was done with Playstation but love VR so kept my psvr pre order. Bought a Vive, built a new pc. VR is awesome, warmed up to neo pushing psvr beter but started to feel that psvr will be sort of a step backwards on a tech level and not really digging the idea of two headsets. My hd plasma bites the dust, upgrade to 4k hdr set, now I care about uhd media. Thought neo would kill 2 birds. Now, pretty sure I'll ditch psvr and may either just get a dedicated uhd player or maybe an Xbox s

I might get it, the blu ray thing isn't a deal breaker for me. Also I saw some people complaining about the name. I think it's fine. I'm actually glad Sony is sticking with these simple names instead of some metaphorical bullshit about you as the consumer and your values or some nonsense.

Nope. I personally don't see anything that's worth shelling out that kind of money for. Same with 4K TV, I just don't feel the need.

Got a decent size 1080p TV and an original PS4 with a 2TB hard drive in it. My games look and sound great, my blurays look and sound great. Right now, I'm perfectly happy with what I've got.

Thinking about it. Won't be interested in its 4K stuff for at least a couple of years though, so it entirely depends on the extent that games will be upgraded. Honestly, I probably won't. We'll see.
