Assassin's Creed - Movie Trailer

Shite music, I mean seriously fucking awful, and the visuals were ruined by the overused blue misery filter for the modern day stuff and piss yellow filter for the past, but maybe underneath all that there could be a decently watchable action movie.

But they seriously fucked up the visual presentation and tone.

I have a feeling this will result in the opposite effect to the one you just listed. Just hire Two Steps From Hell or Immediate Music to score your damn trailers for crying out loud.
 
Hmmmmmm.... dunno how to feel about Fassassin's Creed.

He is backing the project a lot which might mean this could be the first good video game movie thats not Mortal Kombat. But I have no idea how they plan on explaining the state of the modern day plot to a movie audience considering its gotten so convuluted yet nothing is really happening.

Wonder if there not being an actual game this year means they might be using this movie as a jumping point for future games.

Oh well.
 
Oh hell yes.

Not into the music selection, as its dissonant, but then again AC is dissonant by its very nature. A modern clash against classic historical settings, and how those two interleave.

This looks right. This looks like Assassin's Creed.

I'm in.

Came for the music, stayed for the feathered lady! Nice. This was definitely better than the trailer music. I only watched the first 8mins, will have to watch the rest later. Is kanye considered to have a good rap voice? From what I could tell (small sample pool i know) it seems like his ideas are stronger and more ambitious than his actual rapping voice.
 
can't tell if people dislike the trailer or just dislike "lol...kanye"

looks decent enough for a fan to want to check it out.

i'd move it to some other date though so it doesn't have to compete with rogue one
 
Movie looks interesting (I definitely enjoyed Macbeth from same director with same actors), will watch.
The trailer music is horrible though, fire whatever marketing person.

Voice is probably fine as he does have a bit of range in some of his songs but his lyrics are definitely the weakest link. Not always bad but he's no lyrical genius like Eminem... IMO

Despite that though he can turn it around with a good beat/tune.
 
It actually looks alright to me, but I did mute the audio half way in. I've never really listened to Kanye's music before but that was just awful and out of place.
 
All the great music that has come from the Assassin's Creed series, and they pick this for the big trailer reveal.

Disappointing.
 
I love Kanye, but that's no trailer music. Doesn't fit at all, horrible. Didn't really see much in the trailer. Still excited for it though

Damn. I hope the reporter got it wrong or they really got the present day stuff right. The present day aspects of the games were a chore to play, though the narrative didn't bother me til it went deeper, and it really went lol off the deep end.

Music was just terrible . Might as well have just ended it with fassbender miming "What if Kanye made a song, about Kanye? Called "I Miss The Old Kanye," man that would be so Kanye"
 
Pros:

+Decent enough looking production values
+Decent actors

Cons:

-Terrible music choice
-Focus on future (<== Main reason why I won't go see it unless it gets amazing reviews)
-Trailer didn't reveal enough about the setup, a lot of us here can easily understand it, but a person who has not played the games would probably wonder "what exactly is he trying to accomplish in the past?"

I feel like the animus in the game is way better looking than a giant robo dick arm picking you up in the air like some bad scene from the matrix reloaded. Aside from that it looks pretty dope, though I'll remain a skeptic until it's release
 
I fucking loathe Assassins Creed at this point in time. But that doesn't look too bad at all, save for that Glados looking Aminus thing and that shite, out of place music (didn't realise it was Kanye West before reading here).

It's ironic how the bad management of this IP through the years led to a ridiculous situation where they don't have a game to be released alongside the movie, which makes always sense

I agree that they should not release a game this year. The franchise is stale and needs the break. But they sould have made the break before in order to have a game this year
 
Visually very appealing. I hoped we'd at least hear him land in a haystack at the end.

Trailer music is trash but hey, not gonna judge the movie by that.
