I actually like it. Basically you are in the animus controlling your ancestor as an avatar, allowing you to physically experience the adventure.

Wonder if they will have Fass at the E3 conference (presumably they will want to launch a full trailer there).
It's not a matter of liking the music or not. I mean, the music is absolutely terrible, don't get me wrong, but the bigger issue is that it doesn't fit the tone of anything that they show in the trailer, or in fact anything that has ever been done with the Assassin's Creed franchise period.

I can dig it, I believe in Fass.
I can see ways that they can justify it in-universe. Like, perhaps rather than just information inside the animus, they're looking to analyse data of Assassin movement techniques or skills. Having Fassie hopping around the room as Callum would serve that purpose, while also perhaps being more suitable for the medium.
Anyway, the fan edits helped me eventually enjoy this trailer. I wonder why?

Pretty sure that's the animus . No longer do You sit in a chair you have to strap a big robotic arm to your back .
My guess is 70 percent of the movie will be him training in real world to prepare himself for entering the matrix / animus
You see it in a few shots , training to shoot an arrow , the hero landing (thanks deadpool) and a few other shots .

It doesn't look like a shitty cosplay contest so it's already better than 75% of video game adaptations.
