Atlus Japan Opens New Teaser Site

Wouldn't doing an HD or Vita version be more work than Atlus would generally put into something like this considering they'd have to redo all the assets for higher resolutions?

Yeah, you're probably right.

Oh wait.

This week? Just that, the 999 sequel and NightSky.
Well I meant interesting exclusives (or big titles) which I would need to buy a 3DS for. I guess the 999 sequel would count, but I'd probably just get a Vita if I were to buy a handheld for that game.

I wasn't begging for it, but I was making a connection based on previously released data.

I never said specifically that it HAD to be on the 3DS and better be, I just pointed out that it's more probable to be on one system because of what we do know about games currently in development from Atlus for the system.

Folks are just hesitant to take that list seriously since it's got lots of cancelled games on it and also Atlus previously announced "SMT" for PS3 and nothing ever came of it. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised with the game coming out for both 3DS and Vita.

It's funny though that SMT for DS and Persona for PSP both ended up coming true like 4 years later, haha.

The PS3 one I do know about and yeah, it's still really sad that that hasn't happened yet. Though was it supposed to be mainline, or just an SMT themed game (like it could be SMT:Persona 5 or such)? Additionally the DS and PSP games did actually come out, and I liked them both. I know that there have been murmurings and stories about that game being made.

TGS should be interesting in that we'll probably have more updates finally on what games are actually going to be announced for the Vita, of which we know very little of what's actually going to be out for it.

No matter what happens, the important thing is that it will probably launch near the release of or alongside the airing of the anime this fall, which will definitely bolster some great sales for Atlus, I hope!

What's the connection to Atlus?
He's basically talking about Sony announced PSP remaster series games, and that Sony has tools developers can use to easily port the PSP code over to either system, should they want to.

It's possible, but who knows what will happen nowadays.

What are you doing to yourself man? What are you doin'?
Just want to prove to Moroka that not all Inaba girls are whores waiting to get impregnated by the city boy.
Who am I kidding, yes they are.

Let me gaze into my crystal ball.

The ball says it is P4P for PSP and 3DS, launching on 24th Nov 2011, and in-game 3D cutscenes from the PS2 version will be replaced with anime cutscenes from the TV series.

That's my birthday. Atlus sure does love me.

Love P4, but not sure if I want a P4P if it's pushing P5 or SMT back.

Put in a female MC and a datable Kanji S.link and I'm in.

Guys, what if this is for a mobile port on cellphones? Persona 3 got one IIRC, and we all know that cellphones are the future ...

Sony doesn't give a fuck. They're letting Acquire get away with Shinobido 2 on Vita, even though that game doesn't look anything like a Vita game should.

Does SCEA have similar new content rules for the Vita?

Though I imagine a Female path may cover that.

Given that a female path can be argued to be up to 50% new content, I'd imagine it would be covered regardless.

It makes the assumption that the rules, if in place, are still at "just" 30% new content and that this hypothetical P4P Vita includes a female path.

Back in the PSP days, all a company had to do is add anime cutscenes (that was enough for PoPoLoCrois and later, Valkyrie Profile). But companies were too lazy to do even that (Capcom/Konami with BoF3/Suikoden 1&2)

Why would anyone want to play P4 with a female protagonist? There are no cool male characters to date in P4.

Who cares about getting with the guys? I want lesbian relationships with Chie and Naoto!

It was a dumb and unnecessary policy, anyway. As were any SCEA policies that prevented any game from coming out here.

P4P is likely, but I'd rather have Persona 5.

Oh well. At least they'll put back all the things they removed from Persona 4, like the reverse S.Links and the little Junes dialogues.

You're thinking Persona 3, not P4. P3 had totally worthless male characters with the exception of Ken, and that's a little... you know. P4, meanwhile, has guys that you'd actually want to have a relationship with.

Man, opinions. I think Ken probably ranks among the worst RPG characters I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.

What? I thought Atlus said they wouldn't re-release P4? That the PS2 P4 was the "definitive" version? Excited either way :)

But I loved Shinjiro. His social link was one of the funnest to max out!

They said that they wouldn't make a Persona 4 FES. They never counted out a P4P.

If P4P resorts to 2D "move your cursor around" maps, the PS2 version will still be the definitive version since unlike P3 there's no major gameplay improvements to make.

Agreed. Shinjiro was cool as hell. His social link justified my purchase of the game. <3

Can't say dating any of the P4 guys would have that same effect. Yosuke maybe, but he'd have to stop hitting on Yukiko and Chie. And
get over Saki
. I'm a jealous woman. :p

There's Kou too but he
likes Chie
. Daisuke is too ugly.

Kanji is, um y'know. Teddie is too annoying. I guess I could date Naoto and make the fans jealous.

P4 needs the male MC, though. Without him, it's a big estrogen fest.
