Huh? I haven't played Catherine but I'm under the impression that it still has very stylized graphics.

What I mean was over the more dominant, realistic ones of this generation.
(Yes, Catherine does have stylized graphics).

I say this in every thread where people are speculating Persona 5 but they've already hinted that Catherine was originally a tech demo they were going to use for their next game (implying persona), but then they made it a full game. And not long ago one of them said they started their next game or whatever.

I forget the specifics but I don't see why anyone would think P5 isn't happening this gen.

I dont doubt a new Persona is coming, but Id like to see something else too from Atlus, especially when it now seems that new home consoles are on the way.

I would be so disappointed if it was for PSP but it seems like the most likely option.

I suppose it won't be so bad since it'll be playable on the Vita and its chances of getting localized are better (but not great) than any other PSP game, but any other system is starving for a great rpg, even if it's a remake.

Not that P4 wasn't a great game but I am beyond tired of the Atlus retreads lately. I'm supporting the Innocent Sin release late this month because we've never officially had it in the US before (even though I played the game with the excellent fan translation several years ago!) but what I really, really want is a brand new SMT title in HD.

Put it on the PS3, the 360 AND the Vita for maximum sales potential and watch the accolades (and sales) flow in. Stop teasing me with old stuff, Atlus. Catherine was and is a great step forward into the current gen and I want more of that, not remade stuff out of the back catalog.

Are you in a non-US country? I have a hard time imagining Atlus not localizing a Persona game at this stage.

Well I have a 3DS and I'm getting a Vita on release so I guess I'll be getting this 100% if Atlus puts it up on the PSN Store.

I want a Persona 4 FES HD for the PS3 but a 3DS/Vita Persona 4 Portable would be delicious.... It will probably be P4P for the PSP btw

It's probably a cost issue. That's why I think we aren't seeing as many awesome games this generation (compared the JRPG party that was the PS2).

The PS2 JRPG party moved on to PSP & DS and seems to be moving onto 3DS & Vita instead of PS360U.

Let me gaze into my crystal ball.

The ball says it is P4P for PSP and 3DS, launching on 24th Nov 2011, and in-game 3D cutscenes from the PS2 version will be replaced with anime cutscenes from the TV series.
