Battlefield Hardline's open beta test will begin next Tuesday, February 3, EA has confirmed.

The beta will be open to all players on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC until it ends on Sunday, February 8.

Throughout the week, players will be given access to three game modes – Hotwire, Conquest and Heist – across a selection of multiplayer maps, including Downtown, Dust Bowl and Bank Job.

The beta will also offer the first look at 'Hacker', a new mode that lets one player on each team hack into security cameras to spot enemies and specify areas for their team to attack or defend. EA says that Hacker mode will be playable on all game modes in the beta.

"There' nothing more valuable to our team than the relationship we have with our community," said Battlefield Hardline producer Steve Papoutsis. "Their passion feeds our passion and their feedback has definitely helped make Hardline a better game. We want them to play the hell out of the beta next week and trust that they'll keep that feedback coming so we can continue to fine tune the game."

Battlefield Hardline launches in the UK on March 20.

I feel like I'm one of the few who liked last year's beta, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it's improved since then.

Blood Money was a really fun game mode, I wish it was in this upcoming beta.

I had fun with it, it just had a lot of issues. I saw the potential, though.

Hoping they've learned.

Glad I'll have a chance to try this. I'm more than content to keep playing BF4 until SW Battlefront hits so I wasn't going to get this...but I could be swayed.

Edit: Jesus, online car chases seem like they could be amazing.

Why do people hate this game again? to me this looks like a ton of fun.

Cuz the beta played like BF4 reskinned at a time where BF4 was a game that was not playable.

Also the modes available in the last beta were just that bomb mode in BF4 and another new one that wasn't really fun because it just ended up with one team trying to play it like it's supposed to and the other just stealing cash from the first team's base.

That one car mode looks fun, hopefully they've fixed the handling of the vehicles, it was really bad in the last beta.

The trailer actually made me hyped. I now want to play single as much as i want to play the MP.

PLEAASSEEE DELIVER A BAG OF CASH TO MY HYPED NEEDS! lol

I thought the first beta was fun, I still don't care for the cops and robbers thing but I'm open to giving it a shot to actually buying it.

Blinded by the luminous glory that is David Bowie's physical manifestation.
Commander mode still looks the same despite them claiming it's "different." Guess I need to play to see if it's more than "SPAM. ALL THE UAVS!" from BF4.

Looks fantastic. For some reason I'm excited for this game despite not caring about the COD/Battlefield type of shooters.

That first person stabbing looks brutal.

I think this game really only is exciting for those people that love Battlefield 4's infantry gameplay. It's basically un-fucking all the big flaws BF4 had; shoddy netcode (hopefully), class balance, map design (maps specifically designed to support modes instead of every mode on every map). That's enough for me being hyped.

If you weren't interested in Battlefield before, this game is definitely not going to win you over though.

Oh god, they put the Little Bird in Hardline? I hope it's the civilian version, because otherwise....yeesh more chopper domination.
