The Frostbite engine really does look outdated.
It's cross-gen, though.

As a big Battlefield fan that has some fatigue with the series, I was hoping they'd differentiate more, use the opportunity to try to explore something new. I thought the first beta was fun, but felt exactly like a war game, not a police game. I'm looking forward to trying this beta, but it looks even more like warfare, and less like crime than the first beta.

Might stream tonight (got an early access code for PS4)
Initially the game is fantastic - faster paced Battlefield and the included Heist map is an excellent size and layout for some interesting encounters
I think a lot of people are going to be surprised playing this demo - might be a Day One purchase for me now

I'll give the beta a try, I'm curious to see how it has improved since the previous beta. Still not going to buy it unless this unexpectedly blows me away, which I doubt.
Jack is amazing at all shooters, definitely a lot of fun watching him play pretty much anything. Plus it always seems like he's having a genuinely good time.

I'm really surprised they're selling this game for $60. $30 would've made more sense, with $40 pushing it, but $60 is ridiculous. It looks incredibly lazy, with tons of re-used assets from BF4 that make it seem like DLC instead a full-priced standalone game. Based on this PC Gamer video it appears they didn't even bother to tweak the vehicle collisions to make the car chases and crashes more exciting/realistic, either.
I like the concept of a cops & robbers game, don't get me wrong, but I can't help but feel that this is nothing more than a lazy cash grab and that it would have been better suited as its own game built from the ground up (and preferably without Battlefield in the title). I'm honestly surprised that so many of you guys are pre-ordering it for such a high price, especially after how BF4 launched. Though at the same time, since this is pretty much a BF4 re-skin, I can understand why you'd expect it to be more stable since they ironed out most of BF4's problems not too long ago.
